Best thing about the Indian River in Florida, you can catch 30 inch trout and reds in the same spots on the same lures. I would recommend anybody looking for great action to find a guide in the Indian River/Mosquito Lagoon area.
Ive got a shimano Sedona 2500fd I can hold about 200 yards of 15# braid should I buy a 7 foot medium heavy or 7'3 or should I buy a plfueger reel and buy a rod for that
when i go for red fish in shallow water is it bad to use the wire leader with the 2 hooks on it? i usually use shrimp but is there a better setup i should use?
@xXxjoemanxXx Use a popping cork with a jig head about 10-16 inches under it (the length will depend on the depth you're fishing). The depth around the grassy flats is usually 1-2 feet, so about 10 inches of line under the cork would work. Hook the live shrimp through the head in between his brain and his eyes, or try any artificial lure - a standard cocahoe minnow works wonderful. Reds pretty much bite anything you put in front of them. Sometimes low temperatures call for plastics.
cpt rich or any on else need help me and my friend are going fishing in flamingo florida for redfish we have no boat and no idea how to catch a redfish plzz help can u tell wat i nedd to get some redfish and what is the name plzz if any one can help out it would be nice.i dont saltwater fish alot so that y i am asking for help
@MrWebcamvids the most important thing, hands down, that you need to catch a redfish - or any fish for that matter - is a fishing license. The second most important would be location; fish the shallow grassy flats with your line about a foot from the grass (sometimes you can even see the redfish because they poke their tails out of the water). As for bait, anything goes because a redfish will bite damn near everything that it sees. Live shrimp is always the top choice among anglers.
same here, i'd rather catch one good redfish rather than 3 good trouts.....i broke my record yesterday, 26" beautiful red!!...on a Bayou Chub Minnow, avacodo Port Isabel, Tx
@igaroot Yeah, this rig should work pretty much anywhere you catch flats redfish. We used it on the tour in FL many times back in 2007-08. Great rig and it will cast a mile.
@Gradey3 Yeah, they have actually been snatching all my good music off my videos and they're replaced with crap. But, I do have that list for real! Holler anytime...!
@fryedaddy54 Thanks Frye..... We appreciate it. All we do is fish. I believe redfish are my favorite. We target mainly larger reds and rarely go after rat reds at all, even though this rig will catch any of them..... Thanks again!

You should put those together, and sell them on E-Bay. I would buy a few.
