  • awesome job, i listened to jud strunk lots as a young kid my mom used to play the album often,( next door neighbors kid) search is what led me to your sight. am a no where near as good as you guitar player and love your style, wicked job on the song was really surprised at the quality of your work, good vocals

  • Ive been a fan of Jud Strunk since the early 70s.His lyrics paint pictures that no one else comes close to. There are few artists that bring the emotional resonse that he does(You did justice to this song by the way)

  • "Jud also had a great song titled "Bill Jones' General Store"... maybe I'll do that one soon as well. :-) "

I hope that you do it! It's funny, when I was listening to this, I was thinking about Jones' General Store......"If we ain't got it, you don't need it!"

  • Wow, I've sung that song for years and always attributed it to someone else. You are the first one I've ever heard sing it since I was just a kid. Great job. You do a great job of playing and singing it. Thanks.

  • M brothers name is Jacob Brown =]

  • beautiful

  • Jacob brown or the song?

  • both

  • can I get more info about this song?

    Thanks sundance

  • Well, the only thing I can really say about it is that it was on Jud's "Daisy a Day" album and that it has several key changes that I sort of ignored in my version... it's a great song though. Wonderful lyrics and tune... one of these days someone will put the real version on here... can't wait!

Jud also had a great song titled "Bill Jones' General Store"... maybe I'll do that one soon as well. :-)

  • Wow! Thanks so much for posting this! So many have forgotten that his career went far beyond "Daisy" and a few appearances on Laugh-In. This one was always my favourite, and you brought back some great memories!

  • Jud Strunk would've loved your rendition of this. He was my father and probably one of the closest friends that I ever had.

He'd be pround of you. Thanks.

  • @2tides Your Dad was taken from this world way too soon. Some more of my favorites are 'The Next Door Neighbor's Kid,' 'I Wasn't Wrong About You,' 'Biggest Parakeets in Town' and 'Bill Jones' General Store. I have two of his albums to enjoy. Thank you.

  • AWESOME!
