I've been a fan of Pat's since 1984. I remember going to my first PMG gig, after the show my friends and I walked past the stage door and were amazed to see Pat and the band mingling with the fans. Every show since I made a point of staying after and thanking him. Most times there are so many folks I simply nod and say thanks. Pat gave me picks, signed sweatshirts, cd covers and even my date's hand. LOL

Thanks for all the great music and ALWAYS being kind to fans.

Metheny is a bad man: when I met him this summer with Gary Burton, I asked him to sign a cd but he answered: "No, I can't sign your cd" and went away without a reason!!! Anyway in this live Bona plays the bass in a "trio style" song, but i guess it's not a missing of respect: Pat needed a double bass in this tour, so Bona plays everithing else and sings as well! All in all I think he's not only a bass player, but a great singer and a good percussionist too!

I agree, Bona is great no matter what he's doing. I meant that it seems to me he's not really happy without his bass (of course...).I think he's best, when he's the leader of the band,- it needs a personality to let a band sound so great like his bands.

We were in the backstage after the concert and he was having some photos with some girls and politicians of the place, so, when he finished it, I told him: "Hi Pat, can you sign my cd please", I had in my hands the "Speaking of Now" cd and dvd, but he answered me, looking in my eyes: "No, I can't sign your cd" and went away... So I went to the great Antonio Sanchez wich signed the cd with a big smile as he would say: "don't care about him"... Sanchez is a very polite and simpatic guy!

Really amazing! There's a concert video from Bobby Mcferrin in Montreal. He sings a J.S.Bach prelude and let the audience sing the Ave Maria to it which is composed over the Bach prelude by Gounod. It works perfectly and that's nearly shocking because the Ave Maria is a long and difficult melodyline.Great moments in music...

The Ave Maria's melody is feasible. What's not feasible is exactly what Mc Ferrin does - i.e. the arpeggio part.
