Matthew 7:13 is not talking about man's eternal destiny.Man's eternal destiny was secured at Calvary.The Shepherd goes after sinners until He finds them no matter what road they're on. The prodigal son went down that broad road to destruction.Did not the Father find him? Look up destruction in a Bible concordance.Destruction means loss or ruin.If we continue on this broad road we will suffer loss or ruin in this life.This scripture doesn't even mention the word hell.

Hell is real and it IS torture as well as separation from God, The Bible says so.

they deny hell for not only do the refuse the amnesty from it that God offers, they refuse the sentence which we are under.

BUT it simply is not what an honest reading of the Bible shows to be.

If you want to worship a God who saves everyone, you will have to invent one for such a being is not the God who inspired the Bible.

@SwordofManticorE I notice the carnal mind operating here. To the carnal mind, if God does torment people in hell for ever it is impossible that he loves sufficiently to offer a way out. But Godis love, so the only solution to such is to deny the torment.

God is BOTH love and wrath.

TAKE THE AMNESTY. if you deny the terms of it by denying the sentence, you will destroy yourself.

@Strefanasha The carnal mind is also seen here. It says that God commands us to repent, love Him, worship Him or else. This is the carnal view of God. If you read Dan 3:1-6, Your view of hell is no different. Ppl, do you all see how this man says that if I do not believe in hell, I will go there. This is the tactic of fear he uses. The church is the same. It makes you feel guilt and helpless and then it offers you help instead of Going to God for it. The hell doctrine is nuts.

Why does everyone always talk about "those people who have never heard about Jesus"? The bible teaches the Gospel has gone out (& continues to go out) to ALL the world

Before Jesus, Isaiah said the Word had gone out to all the world, the Apostles preached to every creature & every generation since has done so

There is the Written Word, the Spoken Word, & the Revealed Word. God sends angels, visions & dreams. His Spirit convicts the WHOLE World, and His Grace has appeared to EVERY MAN.

@SwordofManticorE Honestly, did you even read my comment? My enitre point was that I do not beleive that ANYONE lives and dies on this earth without having heard the Gospel atleast once! The first Christians preached the Gospel to the WHOLE WORLD Col 1:6, 23; Rom 1:8, 10:18; 1 Thes 1:8.

These Scriptures plainly teach that the Gospel was preached to the enitre world in the 1st Century (and before).

@SwordofManticorE The bible reveals that some are in hell... the Theif atleast is in Paradise. I think before the harrowing, the old Testament Saints resided in Hades, in a section for the righteous, whilst the unsaved resided in hades too, but in a place of fire. After the Harrowing, the saints were set free by Christ and followed Him to heaven. The unsaved remain in hell until judgement, at which time the will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

Anyone can love those who love them back, and Jesus told us to forgive everyone, no matter what they do to us. Why would God burn people just because they dont love Him and why would He not forgive everyone just like He instructed us to do???

To Jerry I would say to stay away from the questions having to do with how God deals with those that have never heard of Christ, until he he has resolved it one way or the other. It's always better to stay with what is revealed in the Word than to enter speculation as to what God will do.

...and so I think that's a pretty strong indication that there's a separation from God that continues on into the world to come. BUT I would add that the way we respond to God now-IN THIS LIFE- changes our eternal destinies. I think the reason the universalist experiences the love of God in itself proves Hell. Did they feel His presence before? lost in the world? Only in the way God loves all sinners but wants them to repent and come to the knowledge of the truth.

Well, uh, in Genesis when Adam along with Eve (who was led astray by the serpent) sinned God threw them out of Eden right? He increased their pains and the serpent was cursed. They continued to live but where separated from the awesome companionship of God.

@curtsphobias This is something that always confused me. If Hell is going to be cast in to the lake of fire then what exactly is Hell? Its not a place of torment/torture (which is the common idea of Hell)?
