plus, i'm not sure if Norm Chow wants to leave the titans. Who wouldn't? I'm hearing he gets paid at least $2 million per year as offensive coordinator. if hawaii so badly wants this guy, they're gonna have to offer him some contract that would pay him at least $3 million per year.

yeah i think cal lee would be a good coach and alot of the locals would support him but i think that norm chow would bring us more exposure and attract more recruits because of his past in usc and byu

If Cal Lee DOES become the new head coach, and if he chose to, hawaii might still be on the same level of success offensively. in my previous comment, i stated that "if he can lead St. Louis to multiple state high school football championships, then make him the next head coach". It was the same "Run-and-Shoot" offense that June Jones utilized that led to Lee's success, compiling a 241-32-5 record. So why not let Cal Lee become the next head coach? at least give him a shot.

rgm's going pro but a.leonards staying so we got a pretty good linebacking core with blaze,soloman,and adam...i say thet change john fonoti to a d.e cuz he got the size and pass rush ability nd on the other side we'll have veikune...we gotta pretty good D but all our offenseive weapons are gone..we only got pilares and graunke

It is trul a sad time for Warrior fans. And rumors are that RGM and A. Leonard and maybe even a couple more juniors (this year), are following suit trying for NFL. The whole program is in a shambles. Nice going Herm!!!!

June Jones run and shoot offense just got shut down by georgia....he knew he couldnt do anything more so he left... i wouldnt be upset if he moved to the Falcons or Dolphins...but SMU.. so much for loyalty jones

1st off your and idiot NS77. Correction bradah...The run and shoot offense put hawaii on the map, created the biggest ncaa turnaround in NCAA DIVI history 0-12 to 9-4, broke numerous records, vaulted many warriors into the NFL, gave us our 1st undefeated seasos and bcs bowl birth ever, lead us to the sugar bowl and made us the most poltent offense in the nation for the past 5 years. We lost to Georgia simply becuz our big boyz couldn't block a dam thing for more then 2 secs. Get a clue son.

the only thing about bringing in cal lee is, he might not have enough connections to the mainland to bring in some of those recruits.

i agree. here's an idea: utilize the West Coast Offense. Bring in some tight ends. running backs should be ok because hawaii does have some good RB's. the thing is that they hardly carry the football and we can't judge for ourselves if they have the potential or not. I suggest keep the passing game alive, but just put in a few more running plays in the mix.

If Norm Chow's style of offense can bring USC to 2 national title appearances, then they should bring Chow to hawaii. If that doesn't work, then there's Cal Lee. If he can lead St. Louis to multiple state high school football championships, then make him the next head coach. I'm sure either one of them will carry on the success.
