Obviously the best ever on the best ever defense. I really believe the Ravens would have won two more Super Bowls had the Ravens: (1.) Kept Dilfer at QB for at least one more year; and (2.) Called offensive plays that took care of the clock. (Billick would pass, pass, and pass, when a just a yard or two was needed, taking points off the board and stopping the clock to keep the opponents in games long after Balto. should had put put them away.)

2000 Ravens = Greatest Defense Ever.
- Fewest points allowed in a season (165 points)
- Fewest rushing yards allowed (970 yards)
- Only allowed 23 points in the post season (3 to Denver, 10 to Titans, 3 to Raiders, 0 to Giants... that was a special teams touchdown)
When you win a Super Bowl with no offense, you know you have a good defense. And all of this was during a time where the rules favored the offense.

statistically this Ravens D was the best ever, I think they allowed only one touchdown on their playoff run to the superbowl, and in the superbowl they shut out the Giants.(only point they got was on special teams).

They were bigger. They had Sam Adams and Saragusa in the middle, both bigger than Ngata and Edwards. Then those ends in McCrary and Burnett - they were true beast!

just like jludd said yes they were bigger... once they let go of Sam Adams and once the GOOSE retired... they switched their D to a 3-4 instead of the 4-3 which won them the superbowl
