Actually, The Doors wouldn't be anything without Ray because he was the one who brought up the idea of starting a band with Jim when he heard the poetry and Jim didn't want to.

O wow ten years ago. I'm only 17 so I didn't know The Doors that young. But Ray's book is amazing. At the end it makes you just want to cry knowing such a great band can never be fully together again.

eh John is great but nothing like the musicianship to Robby and especially Ray.

oooo to each his own lightmyfir but I disagree. John wrote a book about his time w/ the Doors. If you havent read it, its good. The organ is very special for the Doors I agree,it gives it its characteristic sound but Robbys guitar is so intricate and psychedelic, the same goes for it. John is a pretty disciplined drummer. There were many times when he had to keep at it, a very paced rapid beat when live and Jim was making the decision if/when to move on with the song like hollywood bowls The End
