  • This song makes me cry! we are doing it in my choir classes and it is sooooo pretty! OUTSTANDING!

  • i wanna kill whoever coughed at the end, but it was fantastic. this was my senior farewell song... It brought back lots of good memories :')

  • yall sound like angels.

    BUT..

u look dead. and on the part "and let your heart be staid" you guys are saying "chore"

me and my chorus group is singing it this upcoming monday sooo we have learned all the little things. (:

  • why when ever theres a concert thers a guy coughing during the best part?

  • good sound... but everyone looks like they are going to fall asleep or something... learning the music is only part of performance. Is anyone paying attention to what they are singing?

  • My choir is going to be singing this next concert! I'm o excited to hear how great it'll sound when we get everything to come together! This is beautiful!

  • I was in this choir! (Short one front and center) Best high school choir in Montana! :)

  • 2:56 the guy right in the middle with long hair is cute(: and he looks like he's passionate about the song, :)

  • We sang this song in concert choir at school;

this song is absolutely beautiful. ♥

  • Absolutely love. Very well done. Performing this, this semester!!!

  • And letchor 'art be staid...

  • this was really good, ive listened too it many times already. the only things i would work on is taller vowels, i saw a lot of barely opened mouths. also more emotion, get more into the meaning of the piece. but over all i truly love listening to this recording, great job

  • You are such an incredible choir!

But, you look like a bunch of sticks. You sing like angels, yet you show no emotion. :(

    At least fake it, lol.

  • @Alexandria1812 my school choir is doing this but only the girls and it sounds absoulutely amazing! well my school kinda has the advantage!

  • We performed this at Honor Chorus this year and when looking for a good version to listen to to get a feel on the song I found this one. Your blend and tonality is spectacular! This was my favorite piece to perform and perhaps the most beautiful piece I've ever had the privilege to sing.

  • I did this in chorus last year. I LOVE the Latin parts.

  • Very good group overall. Only thing I can think of is to "smile with your eyes". You sound good, but do your faces look as good as you sound? That is one aspect of performing that can be easy to overlook.

  • @boyeliott Tenors do but I say Altos are also kick ass xD

  • i like this but it just doesn't sound very full and it doesn't have many open vowels

  • me and the advance womens choir at my school sang it at our pyramid consert, one of the kids who was listening seid" it toutched my heart" and i almost cryed when i heard the kid say that :') i lovet his song

  • The balance between all of the sections in this performance of this song is stunning. It may be because I've sung this song before and recognize the different parts, but I can hear each section, but you blend together. It really does sound like one voice singing four parts at once. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

  • We sang this at my school's graduation one year. Love this song.

  • gives me chills everytime <3

  • My choir teacher signed a friend and me up to help some guy with a group he was talking to. He was teaching us about singing. He asked us of the top of our heads what song we could remember from choir. it was Omnia Sol. Turns out the guy who was teaching us was the Randall Stroope. It was so cool.

  • this was the all country choir song this past year. i didn't go because only chorus 3 and 4 people could but the whole class had to learn it and i fell in L.O.V.E. I've never heard it sang as beautiful as this though

  • i almost blew my speakers listening to this on the loudest it could possibly go

  • Gorgeous song. My choir was just assigned this, and I can't wait to sing it.

Also, LOL at whoever in the audience sneezed during the climactic pause.

  • you sang this beautifully! i did this song with my choir last year and it's amazing!

  • YEAHHHH TENORS! <3

  • You all sound amazing! I sang this song with my high school Chamber Chorus and it was definitely a favorite!

  • my schools singing this for commencement this year.. i really hope I don't cry onstage!

  • I love this song soooo much. Everytime i hear it i start to cry.. my school sqang it but u guys sing it better

  • @15eisen Yeah. Dustin Lemke.

  • Singing this song for the seniors commencement this year... sort of in memory for a student who died and would be graduating.

RIP Jake Revere, I never had the chance to meet you.

  • we practiced this song today for our baccalaureate and it made me cry trying to sing it. i cant beilive highschool is gonna be over for me in 3 days :(

  • im singing this song in choir at Qunilan Ford High School and its one my favorite song.

  • There's always the one person that has to sneeze during the quiet part. xD

Love this song. Loved it since the first day i sung it with my high school choir years ago.

  • We're singing this in concert choir for graduation and although i love this song i'm sure i'll be crying through most of it

  • My high school choir is singing this at graduation... beautiful songgggg:)

  • My choir is singing this at graduation :( I love it <3

  • singing this for graduation... definitely gonna cry

  • were singing this song at my school! i love it!

  • We sang this in Women's Chorale... adore this!

  • 1:25 Top right girl looks like Emma Watson! (Err... Hermione Granger, for the non-Harry Potter fans.)

  • @duntzwitch omg i was just thinking that! lol

  • Ugh, i Have To Do This Song For Honor Choir,,, Greaaattt,

  • you guys sound really good, but your words.. you say chore instead of your

  • I'm in that choir. No big deal...

  • Lovely, sensitive delivery. Beautiful: you got inside the essence of the song.

  • Man I miss this from highschool..

  • THis song brings back many memories i sang this mr freshman year of HS and now i am a Sr and our derector brought it back out for us :)

  • always make me tear up

  • like it but fix the let yours sounds like lechures, it should be le(T) (Y)ours

  • the facial expressions, and vowels are WONDERFUL. i love this, i even downloaded it onto my mp3. nicely done. (:

  • at 1:55 theres a girl thatss right nextt to the chick with the short orange hairr....she is GORGEOUS!

  • This song is amazing and this choir preformed it very well =) great job. We did this song in my District II Honors Chorus Festival and I love it <3 My favorite piece we did by far. Fabulous job.

  • very well done!!

  • great harmonies, i'd fuck most of the females

  • @iHAZfishes you shold really watch what u say

  • I've sung this song before. We didn't do nearly as good. Our tenors can't project and have a habit of following the sopranos everywhere. Our seconds couldn't keep their part at all!

  • very beautiful!!! i love this song... it makes my eyes water! :' )

  • We are singing this song in choir for out spring concert.. It's such a BEAUTIFUL song.!

  • They sang beautifully...

but they look so bored =/

  • SUCH a beautiful song, my chorus is singing it for our spring concert... also, I'm loving the ginger with flowing hair at 1:16... :)

  • Very nice! We sang this song at my high school in sprint of '10, and everyone loved it. So this year a few friends and I are going to be taking this to the state solo and small ensemble contest.

But like I said before, you guys did an amazing job on this!

  • my school greenway high school lost a friend and classmate 2010 and now the choir sing the this spring 2011 so thanks u for singing the song. you guys are amazing and thanks u the song wow :o

  • wow this is really good! my choir sung this in the begining of the year and it makes me tear up just thinking about how emotional we all were when we sung this song...its a wonderful thing to be in choir...

  • Such an amazing song. We did this song at our concert last month. I feel that the ladies need better posture and they would sound 10x better than now that also you guys seem like you aren't enjoying this song you all look sad and unhappy to be up there, and as a tenor I don't know if your conductor told you not be you guys should be wailing that last part the sopranos are way overshadowing you. BUT other than that I felt you guys sounded GREAT your blend is amazing!

  • I remember this!! We sound a lot better than I remember. I miss this choir. :)

  • hi iam in fith grade and i sing this in chior and i love it its such a beautiful peace i fell in love with it and so did the six graders that sing with me . my teacher is awesome she is mrs mccormake and we love her but u guys did good

  • kinda fast...

  • A love this song, and this is such a great performance!

  • im learning this song right now and this is my favorite so far besides SHUT DE DO lol :) fabulous!

  • This is a beautiful song. I sang it with my senior chorus last year.... I really miss it.

    You guys did great!

  • The day my choir did the song all the way through, was the day I found out one of my really good friends died. The latin gets me everytime.

  • I shake my head at the person who ruined the moment towards the end. Really well sung. It's nice to hear a strong tenor line, as my school is sorely lacking them.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I am the only guy in my choir of 42 and was really struggling with my part, having no one to help me harmonize often lead me astray. Thanks, to the strong voices of the guys I was able to match and my choir teacher was freakishly impressed and so were all the girls. Thanks!

  • tenor power!!!!!!!!! yeah

  • God, do tenors kick ass or what

  • @boyeliott Only when basses aren't kicking thier's :). But yes, Omnia Sol is firmly tenor territory.

  • @boyeliott HELL YEAH WE DO!

O stay your soul and leave my heart its song. My favorite part because we get the harmony on heart :]

  • @boyeliott Tenor Love!

  • one of the most beautiful songs written, both in the lyrics and the technical aspects, i love it <3 great job of it,it's not an easy piece :D

  • man i remember preforming this with like 150 other people in my choir and past students of our teacher it was epic i love this song so much

  • This song will stay with me forever. It was sang by past and present members of my high school in honor of a classmate that had passed away. I hardly knew him, but after hearing what a wonderful person he was along with the singing of this song, made me cry like a baby.

  • Thank you for sharing your talents! What a great group! You all sound so connected with the song and with eachother.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Unlike many mediocre choirs, the vowels and dynamics are all consistent and open. I can always appreciate that. The sopranos have a lovely, well-blended sound rather than it being screechy. Hard to achieve. All around the choir sounds fabulous. Well done!

  • wow ya'll sang this so beautifullly!! We're planning to sing this song at our Senior Awards and Bacalurrette soon. :)

  • Omg we sang this for a competetion and we made a ONE (: wa also sang domine fili unigenite and how do i love thee...it was awsome...you guys sound good though (:

  • it sounds ok, but you have no emotion. it just kinda sounds like your just singing it to get it over with. Its a beautiful song, and just listen to the lyrics! I am also singing this in my choir and you really have to feel the piece for it to sound the best. You all look bored to death, and it's a heartfelt love song!

  • Very interesting setup of the choir...Sopranos on the bottom, Altos, Tenors, then Basses at the top.

VERY lovely and heartfelt, but a bit staccato at the beginning.

  • Epic. No other words can describe this.

  • i sang this for my choir in high school...it felt so magical ..the power of singing in unison with many great voices makes u feel one with the harmony...

such a beautiful song ..lovely melody....i miss high school :(

  • Awesome song. Brings back so many good memories

  • sang this at graduation. balled my eyes out. you guys are so good, you have a pure light sound awesome!!

  • When you first see this choir when the video is starting you can tell that you guys are good. everyone is in place, great posture, and a united sound. i love this!! How parts does this version have because it sounded like some parts had 1st and 2nds???

  • This is GREAT for high school!

  • You guys did a beautiful job with this song! I can not stop listening to it :) it is my all time favorite!!

  • amazing, but everyone looks miserable.

  • hey way to go. My old school did this song too. you guys sound a lot better than we did tho lol. good job :D

  • love this song! This is my senior sonog for choir!

  • Such a beautiful & heartwarming song.

I sang this in February for my SWACDA Nationals Mixed Choir :)

I loved this experience, especially this song!

    It was my favorite ♥

    It made me cry too!

  • To the boy with the long brown hair over one eye in the middle:

I love to watch you sing. This is one of my favorite songs and I can see how you love it too. I love how passionately you sing. It moves me to watch this video again and again. Thank you for showing a true love for this beautiful song.

  • @Tan1723-- Hey, dude, guess what?!?!?! "And when we part, and sorrow can't be swayed" isn't a very fun thing to be singing about. The song is about being in love and having to let them go. So, when it comes down to "looking dead," what do you expect? Are they supposed to be smiling or bawling or something? It's DEPRESSING. Sheesh.

  • Absolutely amazing ;) I love this song...I had to sing this with my youth chorale when my father was killed in Iraq for his funeral... :-(

  • omg i am so sorry........

  • thanks ;)

  • AMAZING SONG!!!!!!

Although everytime I hear it, I start to tear up because I sung it with my Concert Choir at my classmates funeral service.

I want it sung at mine as well.

  • i am sorry......i really am...thats sad to hear...and im glad that you would want such an amazing song sung in your memory!!!

  • @musicman51191 we did the same thing to my friend elainas funeral....god bless her

  • @bradybeske2009 CB East kid?

  • @bradybeske2009 I did the same thing for a classmate of mine, this song is perfect and beautiful

  • This is a fabulous song. This is at the top of my favorite songs list. :) Perfect. And what's funny, is that I could care less about the facial expression, because I just close my eyes and listen peacefully.

  • finally someone who can look past the fact of out stupid faces

  • I love this song! I think we're gonna be singing this at our graduation this year. I hear the choir always sings it at graduation.

  • You guys are amazing.

  • thank you!!!

  • lol...i know this is a lil shallow maybe, but the kid at 1:59 with wavy long hair who looks around, he's pretty cute xP

    justs a compliment :)

  • Beautiful! I LOVE this song! I'm not one of those annoying youtube people that go around giving "constructive criticism," but I just wanted to say that some of the singers look miserable, like they don't want to be there at all. When we sing this in choir, I get so into it and it is SO much fun!

  • Stupid sneezes

  • We sang this my freshman year of high school. It's such a pretty song, it always made me cry at the end. When you have the words "let" and "your", it should always be pronounced as "Leh-tyour" and not "Letchyur", which happened a few times...and "in" in latin should be pronounced as "een". But this is a very good performance!

  • Comment removed

  • a general great performance, but the latin could use some work. the "in" should sound like een, not in. and the vowels could be a little more pure. but the general sound of the group is fantastic.

  • I would've also liked more facial expression. I know it's not an incredibly happy song, but there is still passion, which can be shown with something other than a blank face. Other than that, this was beautifully sung. Dynamics and emotion put into the actual flow of the music was very wonderful. =)

  • You guys did great on this! We performed it my 11th grade year of high school. I would have liked to see more facial expressions and life in this piece though. It's one of those songs that's touching and requires the proper facial expressions and energy. Also, posture needs to be worked on by some of the girls in the front. They are all slumped/hunched over and bending at the stomach. If they stand up straight with their heads high and shoulders down, then they will sound even better!

  • this song was dedicated to my sister who died a month ago.

    R.I.P sister.

  • I'm in a college choir that is going to perform this. It is so beautiful!

  • Comment removed

  • this is very well done!

EXCEPT FOR THE ASS WHOLE MOMENT RUINER right at the end who made all the noise in the backround.. that was so sad.

  • it was really really good! i could hear each part and it blended really well together. the only thing is, as the comments below said, their facial expressions weren't TERRIBLE, but there was one girl that was literally falling asleep.. her eyes were closing and closed for about 15 seconds lol.

  • Incredible balance between the choir!!! Well done.

  • gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!! & they're not boring facial expressions... it's a song about death and loss! do you want them to smile??

  • beautiful, facial expressions could've been better, but i think you did amazing :)

  • lol sorry basses and tenors messed up on the let courage be your oar part. KNOW YOUR MUSIC.

  • 2:39 Guy on third row, far left and the 3 guys on the top row look like the Beatles.

  • anyone know where i can get the chior version of this song...not the extremos version

  • wait! is this from competition in North Carolina???

  • BORING FACIAL EXPRESSION!!!!!!

  • I accompanied this song for our choir at the '09 hs graduation back in May. This song brings goosebumps! You all did a great job!

  • This is beautiful! It sounds so nice at the first chorus. I am singing this song this weekend at our OMEA District X Honors Choir performance, it is an amazing piece of literature!

  • I am currently working on this song in my choir, we're doing an I think SSA version of it. Truly beautiful song, my favorite of what we're working on.

You guys sang this beautifully. Wonderful job. =]

  • wow this was amazing. We sang this for our IASAS choir and it is my fav. song we sang as a choir. Beautiful job guys!

  • im a freshman and im goin 2 sing this song on saturday for our state tryouts and im having a lot of trouble with the on to it is super high

  • wow we actually did pretty well...i was surprised we were the best compared to the other versions of this song on youtube.

  • Yea steve it is pretty awesome miss ya standin next to me in choir lol!! you had some pretty funny stuff to say!

  • omg.

    ending note sounded amazing.

    very good (:

  • were singing this this yr. this is great =]

  • Your Welcome!

  • I sang this freshman year and I'm singing it this year for All District choir. Very lovely :)

  • Thanks everyone!! We worked really hard on this piece. Of course, it's not perfect but still one of my favorites!

  • Comment removed

  • Minor criticisms aside, this was a very, very good performance of this song. Beautifully sung- I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • I remember doing this in high school. This is a pretty impressive HS choir. And I know, I went to a school that was in the Grammy Signature Schools all 4 years I was there. You guys should be proud.

  • Sheesh, these singer's look like their dead. Show some emotion.

  • uh.......did you want us to just start tap dancing awayand throw are arms up in the air? This is not show choir dumb ass.

  • Now your shoving words into my mouth that I never said. But some facial engagement wouldn't hurt either. You must think about what the song is trying to say and imply when your singing it, once you know that, you can put emotion into what your singing and make music so much better. Some choirs go and sing in front of audiences and show no facial expression whatsoever, like they would rather be somewhere else than what their doing on stage.

  • ok i agree that a lot of the kids in the choir are dunces but still! It is a song about seperation and saying farewell......tell me...how exactly SHOULD we have sang it....hm?

  • since i know your an expert and all...

  • its sort of to b sung like you're reminiscing about old times or something, but anyways i just wanted to comment too that sometimes your tenors got a little overpowering in times when the basses had the melody, its great that they can sing with that much strength but if its messing up the balance they need to pull it back a bit if the basses cant get any louder, but dont think i didnt like it, it still sounded very good im not trying to put u down.

  • i agree with tan1723, some of the ppl could use some emotion, but there are some that are making efforts to do so, we sang this in my high school choir and im not saying we were amazing, alot of the ppl in it just flat out didnt listen to the teacher cuz they just wanted to go on the choir/band trip, but i, being one who listened to the teacher was told that from the meanings of the words u get that this song should b sung with an attitude of reflectiveness like saying goodby to an old friend

  • I sang this when I was a freshman. So beautiful, it makes me want to cry. I'd forgotten how much I loved listening to the tenor line.

  • Absolutely beautiful....I remember when my choir did this song. Do you know where I can get the sheet music free?

  • I love this my honor choir did this and its gorgeous i love it when guys have great voices and arent afraid to show it this was great :)

  • Great!! One of the most beautiful pieces ever!!!
