I had one guy bring be a $2 rose and it literally was the sweetest thing ever to me. I don't need expensive crap...be creative, make something, let it come from the heart. Me and my man always celebrate Valentines Day, I think it's because we felt like we had to, lol. We do stuff for each other all the time so idk why we get sucked into this one day. I think i want this to be the last year we actually plan vday, just because we've already gotten presents for each other. Thanks for ur point of view. I gave up on holidays a long time ago I think the purpose of most of them is to make sure most corporation meet quarterly quotas every quarter has at least 2 or more holidays so I realize a while ago Valentines Day has nothing 2 do with love and more to do with how much money we can give Wal-Mart or Victoria Secret.

I agree that its made to be a big deal, but all the fucking holidays are made to be a big materialist deal, thats part of living in a capitalistic society. On the other hand, its not or at least, shouldnt be a "women's" holiday, I feel like thats for both partners to celebrate their love on. Yes, V day is not an indication of how good or bad ur relationship is, you should show love and care to ur partner every fucking day, not on one day out the year. I agree valentines went from being about love to materialistic things..... cant lie it is a genius way to empty Americas pockets! Although I cant lie I do put everything aside and dedicate the day to my kids... no work no internet, no nothing. This is something that should be daily but not being your own boss makes this impossible! My kids know that valentines day is dedicated to them no excuses and yes we may do dinner, movie ,boardwalk or even chill in the house and watch movies or play games
