This tutorial was really useful, it's always a bit hit and miss when I do a lighting setup, hopefully this will help hone my renders. Loved the traffic in the background of the other parts, lol.
Hi, nice tut. Can you help me? I don't know why, but it took me ages to render the scene. About 7 Minutes just for 1 small picture. That's way too long...
Great tutorial love it I've learnt so much especially with lighting .. great that you explain what settings do I think people need more of that as most tuts hide alot and personally speaking I've spent hours / days trying to figure out whats missing . So Sir will you make a tut on making Diamonds using caustics and dispersion, mental ray max 2010 .. Also My render times take the mick so tips on cutting them down would be great .. please do the diamond tut .. keep em coming .thumbs up :)
this is what my final is!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have to model and mat and light using mantalray. its soo hard! how on earth did u get the light out the door?? i have that same lighting in my kictehn photo. please help!!!! how do i start off with the lighting?? i have two weeks, please help!!!!
@prodesigner24x7 Thanks for very useful video tutorials. I have done the same procedures for my project, but my room after mr rendering is very dark. Could you please tell some reasons why is it so?
pro bro its realy very very very nyssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss tut..thaks a lotzzz for explaingin so0o0o easy...thank agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaainnn..MAY all ur wishes come true.....plzzz upload more tut..thanks againnnnnnnnnnn

hey hi dear i am very impressed by your tutorial, its very helpful. i was looking for one. i am not yet started with this, today i will start with this. i have question here i mean i am working with 2011 would it be bit confusion?

Well, what was new for me was the stuff about the use of those AEC-objects so thanks especially for that. May I suggest that for future videos you should try writing down a few key words or even a script or check list? This surely would make it more easy for you to find the words and for us t follow your instructions. Thanks.
i got a? im wrkin on somthng but the lighting is no buenocan i send you the file a you do the lighting for me i have tried tuts but everytime i render the screen is bright white
Dude, you rock! Love the sounds in the background.
I followed your tutorials and produced my 1st amazing interior image. As an Architect, this new skill will now allow my creativity to be expressed as I want it to be expressed.
One point : How do I get to see a "natural sky" through the doors instead of the glow / haze.
My windows don't glow white like yours does :[ They remain black when I render the image, but the photons are still coming through. What am I doing wrong?
@nfguler I believe so, like this tutorial said, I separated the window pane polys and I put in the correct material... maybe I missed a step making the material, disallowing light to pass through.. one thing I HATE about youtube tutorials is how hard it is to see the values that he's putting in, and all of that. He does a good job of explaining, so maybe it's just something I missed, I don't know. However, I've recently got vray, which is a lot easier to generate realistic lighting..
dear sir its great. i study and watch all but its last my render not comes like urs.. its look like fog.. if possible help me.. in lighting my emails is sagheerjani@yahoo.com
thx for the great tutorial!!! I'm really sure it will help alot of pple ( including me :D )
and btw I got a question 4 ya...I'm having problems with the skylight portal I can't use visible in render, so what should I do...can u help me a lil bit with that? I would be thanksfull... thx
I cant make it " see in render " , u know the white color outside ur windows...I just can see the skylight map which comes with the MR skylight ( sunlight sistem ) in my renders...if u still don't understand maybe I should use my english diccionary :P ( don't make me do that :P ) thx .
@eXcess007 I don't know if you still haven't got the answer but your problem is because of exposure control. Your exposure value is too high. Go to exposure settings and select from presets "daylight interior".
@nfguler don't worry I made it right so many months ago...and I found so many ways to make it....for example just making the MR phisical sky just to bright really strongly ( everything white ) and well whenever I render I render in RPF format so the outside window just show me black ( couse the alpha channel ), and the reason I render it in RPF its becouse I get an obj buffer ID different for every obj in my escenes so later on I can make color corrections and that kinda stuffs on combustion
to watch ur demo just type on console "viewdemo xXNek0jinXx" and the Cs will play ur demo...now if you wanna make a video ( but without sound ) type viewdemo + name of the demo and when it starts type startmovie 30 ( the Cs will create 30 images per second in ur cs folder ) and later u can get all thouse images together using some program ( use videomatch its really easy to use )
great tutorial!! i learn a few tricks thanks. do you ever use the align command when ur modeling? it's "Alt A" it works great when i do architectural models. takes a while to get used to but i can't work with out it.
Thanks a lot, and knowledge of Thailand.
