  • he lost me at the end

  • anyone else get that awkward silence when you didn't press pause?

  • We meet again 240p...

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • I DONT GET THIS :(

  • did he get a hair cut?

  • This dude made math so easy! he's my favorite math teacher on Youtube!

  • male teachers>female teachers

  • what do the points have to do with the equation?

  • Are u guys in high school

  • @Blackops123453215 The guys teaching this? I'm not positive, but I'm sure they're at least in college. They're very good at teaching

  • Are u guys in high school

  • this guy rocks

  • how did he get -33 i dont understand...

  • one example one time i get it

  • @multiblade77 wouldnt u subtract 12 from both sides since the 12 is positive.

  • D: so THATS how you do the equation. i did the negative part but not the reciprical part cuz i forgot...-.- probably didnt do so hot on my algebra review quiz.

  • i think we know where the button is

  • youtube explains better than my teacher

  • is this for highschool??? i can't even understand what he mean i just know the reciprocal... -grade 6

  • This teacher is awsome !!! i WISH HE WAS MY TEACHER :(

  • need to go in super detail as if we don't already know the formula ;D thanks

  • i got 7/2x+33/2x = y

  • I understood everything up until 0:17

  • How did he get -33?

    Just when i thought i was getting this :(

    Smh

  • Why can't I have a teacher like you when I was in school? Thanks.

  • man you really helped me thanks

  • lol ur an algebra wiz dude

  • when u multiply everything times two you have to multiply the 6 also which makes it -12 and -12 plus --21 is -33

  • yah i understood until the -33 darn it but i love this it really helps me alot in math thank you guys

  • thank you for telling me where the PAUSE button was teacher!!!

  • @YoChr1s09 lol yeah when he did that i couldnt stop laughing for like 5 min ... good thing i paused it.

  • Like satan said

    -ALGEBRA YOU CAN SUCK MY BALLS-

    yep

  • thanxs this helped me a lot

  • I really understood everything, saved my test!!! thanks!!

  • This video was just as unhelpful as the examples in all of the books. If you're going to teach something, teach all of the steps instead of skipping some steps. If we already knew the steps we wouldn't be watching the video so evidently we're looking for someone to break it down.

  • k why dont u show me what u did at the end thats exacly what i had trouble with. shit!

  • dude i know u substitute the X and Y of the coordiantes(-3,6) in to the equation y=7/2x +c which would be 6= 7/2 (-3) + c then i got C equal to 16.5? And how did you get -33?

  • @RYANMOW So your equation would now be y = 7/2 x + 16.5

    If you multiply both sides of the equation by 2 (this makes all numbers whole) you would get 2y = 7x + 33, and rearranging this can give 7x - 2y = -33

    I don't see why the equation must be written in this final form though

  • @Megei i learned it as multiply 7/2(-3) then add the 10.5 with the 6 which gave me 16.5 ......i dont think we ever changed the sign -7/2 in the first place...so idk even why he did that.....i wonder who is right and who is wrong......i do think that they should have put HOW he got -33 though at the end for people who r lost

  • I got the same thing you did. I liked all of his videos until this one.

  • this is too easy!

  • doin this in 8th grade

  • ¿¿¿¿¿¿????????¿¿¿¿¿¿?????? Me no smarts!!!

  • how did he get -33

  • He's cute. Lol

  • This website lacks a few key subjects (Dividing Polynomials, and Radical Exponents). You're better off searching the web for FREE algebra help. Don't waste your money!

  • ...if i wanted the answer i could just look in the back of the book!

  • its negative 33 based on my computation

  • I like the word reciprocal. its fun to say.

  • What can you do once you know this kind of maths please? Sounds so interesting I might just make a t-shirt design bast off it. Wicked!!! Could Tesla do this kind of Mathes?

  • i like his enthusiasm.....

  • @EDIshames

    ROFL true that

  • it's not -33..!!! it's 33!! positive!!!!!

  • Ok I kind of understand it now, but I will keep trying. At least I understand the terms like coefficient, reciprocal, etc.

  • ...I wrote a 1-page paper 'arguing' that

    infinity times zero should equal -1,

    based on the 'product of slopes of

    perpendicular lines' equalling -1, so

    should it follow that m(vertical line)

    times m(horizontal line) equal -1...?

  • @jwm239 lol

  • @jwm239 nice

  • this is so nice!!!!!!

  • nice to see you are trying to help people with this video =p, but it doesn't help me much =/ - im still confused with perpendicular lines - ive almost got it

  • oh god thnk god

  • puta ang labo... pano nakuha yung -33?

  • what the hell????

  • hey if you have the time can you do this over because i got lost at the end and that's the same thing my teacher dose and it's killing me!!!!!

  • and how does he get -33?

  • i dont understand it at all because he starts at slope intercept and gets the answer in a different formula

  • phew thanks :)

  • I think he was right but the correct ans was a positive 33.

  • omg wtfff thats some NEEEXXXT answer from what i got...ahh i cant be dealing with americanised maths its too confuzzling...

  • the gradient 7/2 is x/y

    hence, we use 7 and 2 and treat it as 7x and 2y.

    and then figure it out from there

  • where did you get 7x - 2y = -33??

  • Comment removed

  • i understood everything until he said negative -33... :(

  • @nubsfrlif wHATCH THE PARALLEL LINES VIDEO FOR THE WORK OUT

  • @nubsfrlif

    same here...i was thinking more of -27..what step am i missing?

  • @DoubleAG90

    nevermind..i know what i messed up at

  • @nubsfrlif he just didnt put it in mx+b form. the mx+b answer is

    y=7/2x +33/2

  • @nubsfrlif

    Recall that (x,y)=(-3,6) on the blackboard top left hand corner.. and 7 and 2 are from the slope

    7*(-3)-2*(6)=-33

    -21-12=-33

    -21+-12=-33

  • @ldiazmdiaz thankyou i got confused there!

  • this one got the best of me too.

  • How the Hell did u get the answer?????!!!!!

  • where did he get that final answer from

  • From the point it passes through

  • 1 for 1 teacher . I understood 1 but not this one. Well see on the next one if this guy is worth watching or looking for help elsewhere

  • and here's the second part:

    than:

    y=7/2x+11

    (y=7/2x+11)2 {times everything by 2, to get rid of fraction}

    2y=7x+22

    -22+2y=7x {-22 & -2y from both}

    -22=7x-2y

    this i what i got. hope it helps! :)

  • Thanx so much, it helps seeing the actual steps.

  • welcome :)

  • what he should have done is this:

    plugging the point into point slope form:

    y-y1=m(x-x1)

    y-6=7/2[x-(-3)]

    y-6=7/2(x+3)

    y-6=7/2x+10/2 {distribute}

    y-6=7/2x+5 {10/2=5}

    y=7/2x+11 {+6 to both sides & u get this}

  • dude, i dont wanna pause.

    I don't get how he got that, the end mixed me up

  • Comment removed

  • I was totally lost at the end....and I got something totally different why didn't he just finish the problem and show us the steps (bummer)

  • This was totally good until he turned evil teacher on us and made us pause and let us linger in the cold to find out the ans ourselves this totally BITEZ :[

  • LOL i know that screwed me over too

  • This teacher is on crack....lol I'll have what he is having...lol

  • what grade should regular children be learning this?

  • grade 10

  • make sense. thank you bro

  • argg...why we have to pause and do it ourselves...now im confuse..how did you come up to that answer...i better browse some more helpful related videos

  • wtffffffff -33 it has to be impossible

  • Uh, this made me more confused than I was before I watched it.... I freaking hate algebra!!! It sucks major ass!

  • Wait I'm confuse why is it -33????

  • The Gradient point forumlar: y-y1=m(x-x1)

    y-6=7/2(x+3)

    y-6=(7/2x+21/2)

    2y-12=7x+21

    2y-12-7x-21=0

    2y-7x=0

  • Wow it was a great help...

    But why he didnt wrote the formula that was used for this equation: y-y1+m(x-x1)

  • y-y1=m(x-x1), by substitution

    y-6=7/2(x+3)

    2y-12=7x+21

    7x-2y+33=0 or 7x-2y=-33 #

  • Thank you for posting this, I was a little lost now I get it.

  • i music you have to use math (numbers) to be able to keep rythem(sp?) also it helps if you know math to be able to do the music better I am not sure how to explain this,however you will need math in music trust me.

  • -33??? how

  • my problem is that after graphin the orthogonal.......... i dont know what part to shade........could u help me with this

    1 + x < y < 1 - 2X

  • wat do u do with the negative reciprolcal

  • first flip the number fraction, and use that repcipricated function for your slop (gradient), then sub that for m with this formula y-y1=m(x-x1)
