  • @Peroxide014 I got my ram from here: eshop.macsales.com

  • thanks so much, u prob saved me a lot of money

  • i have this macbook si there a specific type of ram i need? because there are loads of different ddr3s

  • This computer can unofficially support 8gb i am running that now with out flaw.

  • Yo I CANT see what u are doing

  • can i add more than 4 gigs? like maybe 5 or 6?

  • Great video man! Very helpful!

  • Great video dude!!!!! I just bought a MacBook a few days ago and was wondering on the difficulty of installing more ram cause I only did the base model that comes with 2gb . I installed 4gb on my Mac mini and it was a breeze let's hope I can my MacBook goes as smoothly

  • What do you do with the old ram?

  • Say I upgraded from 2gb to 4 gb, and I wanted to watch a youtube video on 720, or 1080p, would the additional RAM decrease the loading time?

  • @Razathus no that has to do with your internet speed

  • @Razathus no, thats ur internet

  • Can you use any PC-8500 DDR3 ram? or do you have to buy the one from apple online store that costs more than 200 dollars?

  • can the Macbook function on 3gb ram?

  • What is the property of the RAM that you placed?

  • i´ll put in 1 pce 4gb and let the one 1gb left in

  • Does it support 8GB RAM?

  • @tylerwright118 no only 4GB

  • @SonJupiter No 8GB cause I got a 8GB kit and its working fine.

  • @SonJupiter what was the tool you used to take the back panel off???

  • @SonJupiter Apple says on it's site it doesn't support 8GB, but the motherboard actually supports 8GB.

  • yes support 8gb ram and 1tb hard disk

  • @tylerwright118 apple says it only supports 4 gigs but unofficial tests show that it takes 6 gigs.

  • @tylerwright118 Yes it does support 8GB, search google! :D

  • @tylerwright118 I actually believe it does. I think Apple only officially supports the 4GB but the maximum it can take it 8GB, I don't know for sure, but ill let you know later today when i try it out ;)

  • I am not so intelligent here but ill ask anyways if i were to do this when i put in my new ram do all the apps and files and all my good stuff leave when i do this or do i have to back it all up first then put it back in?

  • is there a difference in the speed and everything?

  • if i removed the battery and bought another one from apple, and put it in would it work?

  • Thank you! Will use this for my upgrade! Great vid :)

  • @OskarOllie Thanks man...

  • Where did you buy the RAM?

Thanks for the vid dude :)

  • me, i remove the battery and after i do the upgrade... for most security...

  • I don't NEED an antistatic wrist strap. Just keep yourself grounded.

  • also, so any type of ddr 3 ram then?

  • whats ur accent... it sounds cool

  • Even though you got the back off.. Battery still not user replaceable???

  • @frontier1701 it isn't

  • is it ok installing memory without take out the battery first?...

  • @asgabhelmi it is sir..

  • Hey,

Is it also possible to upgrade the hard drive in the Macbook?

  • @sjirti yes, replacing the ram and hard drive will not void your warranty, they are user replaceable parts

  • people shut up bout the static strap you would be an idiout not to use one

  • I have a question, I heard the older model macbooks ( non-unibody) can only support up to 3gb even if you had 2x2gb of ram, does the 2010 read all four? thank you

  • why do u need anti static were ulive

  • @matty12345a1 its very dry here most of the time you touch metal there is static discharge plus the computer cost $1100

  • I notice you mentioned the static issue. I have no sort of strap. The manual instructs me to touch the metal on the hard drive to release any static. Is this really a good idea?

  • Do you recommend 4GB over 2GB, looking at buying my first Mac and wondered if there's a noticeable performance gap between 2 and 4 gigs of memory. Thanks

  • hi i really want this computer is it capeable of playing world of warcraft? and also is it good for uploading videos to youtube because i want to start doing that unfortunately my mum says its too exspensive so im going to have to save up they wont be making a new one in the next 1-3 years will they? because i want it to last me.

  • @bammargeraskate96 Yes this will play Wow and they also will probably will release a new model even withing the next six months

  • OMG you are actually using a grounding strap hahahaha

  • @huskycubindy Yeah if you live where i live at you would too...

  • @SonJupiter Your profile says you live in Canada but may I ask in what part you live in!? Do you live in Nunavut or something I mean I live in the GTA and it is nowhere near that dry.

  • hey can i uypgrade my macbook's ram from 2gb to like 8gb i want to know what's the diffrence...what will it show when using the computer? what will happen by upgrading to your computer

  • Great vid SonJupiter and i have a question ,,, can i change the RAM before i turn on the macbook for the first time ????

  • @fahadsha6521 Yes you can do that.

  • What is the exact hard drive size and specs i need, im going to buy one and then take it to pc world for them to install it

  • Hi SonJupiter. Another Great Video. I am thinking of upgrading my RAM from 4 to 8 Gigs. I would imagine that there is not much difference in upgrading a MacBook Pro's RAM. My question to you is this. Does removing the screws and upgrading the RaM yourself void the Apple warranty?

  • @cornerbrooker Only if you break it.

  • Comment removed

  • Where can I buy a RAM to install in my computer?

  • @memo31silva49 newegg Mushkin Enhanced 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1066
