I have bi-lateral tos. Now, both of my arms/shoulders are losing flexion/adduction. Every med person is telling me to try something different. I am afraid they are just throwing bandages on a nerve issue. I have seen so many great docs but I am losing ground. I have been extremely assertive and committed to getting better but I am discouraged after 6 years of this condition. Whom should I contact at the Mayo Clinic to have a consultation.
Dr. Spinner: "There may some limited reconstructive techniques to help despite the length of time since the injury. We could see evaluate in our Brachial Plexus Clinic.
Hello Dr. Spinner, i am the wife of a 26 yr male who has b.p.i since 2005, which as been untreated. We have exhusted many of the doctors in our washington d.c area with no luck. It only took them about two years to actually give us the name of his injury. No one seems to have clear answers or able to point us to the right direction. Nor the steps to take to take care of the issue. May you please contact me with some ideasemail. liadame224@gmail.com... thank you god bless
I am a Disabled Veteran of 8 years with the US Military with a Traumatic Brachial Plexus Injury, who, the Mayo Clinic denied treatment as they did not accept Veterans Healthcare. Thanks Mayo Clinic, you'd make your founder very proud with that capitalist view.
Hi Dr Spinner, I have watched your video 5 times . it is a wonderful video. My son has a complete BPI, My son will have a surgery next week. Before his doctor told us that my son needs never transfer and muscle transfer. Now his doctor told us my son only needs never transfer that can help his should and elbow motion. why they don't muscle transfer same time that may help his hand motion.
hey dr. spinner..ive had a b.p.i. for the last 4 years..did the graph surgery and got some movement back..the thing that gets to me is the pain im going thru..im on heavy meds and still hurts..think my dr. was talking bout ketamine?what can i do to eleviate this pain?
This is one of the best videos if not the best, I've ever seen. This video is very helpfull if you have a BPI, it gives you as much information there is to know about an adult Brachial Plexus Injury. If anybody wants to share information about BPI please feel free to send me a message.
