You should be worried, religion is what unites a people a lot of the time. It is the glue that holds together a culture and It instills a national pride in the nation. If you are just a country of atheists, there is no real unity. I'm not surprised that so many countries in europe have become atheist, because Christianity isn't even part of our culture. The norse gods are the architypes of swedish culture and traditions. And pagan traditions are very much still part of Christian celebrations.

Yes I know that you don't pray to them, but I still think they are important for cultural unity. I think it is interesting that Asatru is gaining popularity, now that is legally aloud to thrive. Asatruers don't pray either, they give homage and thanks.

I don't think you have to worry about them persuading you to become Muslim obviously. I'm saying that they may use violent means to take over and convert people, once they have bread enough and make a significant ammount of the population.

I don't think I'd call my family non-believers. Passive perhaps. We did not practice any formal religion of any sort. I was always fascinated by my friends families who did. Sometimes I would tag along with them to church,

and I visited a handful of different churches that way. What I surmised was that they were all pretty much the same: most people not taking the sermon too seriously but happy to see each other. It was more about a sense of community and identity than anything else. And lets not forget the gossip! I think any church or temple runs on a healthy dose of gossip.
