There are "gadgets" in this list that are peripherals to items that aren't common in every household... such as software (Wii Music only available on Wii, Rockband 2 only on 360 etc). IMHO these can't be classed as gadgets at all, let alone posted in this list for Christmas presents!

I'm also not sure about having the iPod Touch and the iPhone in the same list as the iPhone does everything the Touch does and more. There may be issues in having an iPhone w/o a contract, but that's Apple for you!

I agree. I have all 4 platforms and my order of preference is PS3, Wii, 360, and then PC (I'm now an Apple convert).

My nephew brought over his 360 hard drive to play some games and we had the Red Ring of Death (error E68 I think) when I started it up. My drive works fine though. I do like the 360 for Netflix and GoW. Nothing else. The RRoD has happened to so many, how can anyone claim it's a superior machine. Stupid fanboys!

Actually "Game Boy" is the biggest selling console of all time, selling 118 million units worldwide. PSP has only sold 41 million worldwide, DS is over double with 84 million sold. and yes your right PSP is beating Wii in sales, but remember PSP was out way before the next gen consoles. and Wii is catching up quickly with 34 million units sold. which is close to the sales of both PS3 and xbox 360 combined.

PS3 sales have been poor, that's why it isnt featured on this. PS went from being the top selling console to the lowest. Nintendo has done the opposite, Nintendo Wii is now on top, 360 is second and PS3 is falling behind. also DS sales have been huge too.

i take it you like the 360. fair enough but errrr... just because your game library is bigger doesnt mean its better. i know three people that own both GOW2 for 360 and R2 for ps3, each of them saying R2 is better. ps3 supports nearly all video formats and online is free, wireless is built in etc. i mean £60 for a 360 wireless adapter, microsoft are trying to rip you off! lets put it this way, halo is crap, GOW is ok, and the only good exclusive you have is PGR, we have motorstorm, , LBP, MGS4

recently i think it was ign, they did a round up of the best exclusives for each console, ps3 v 360 and ps3 came out on top, while 360 has some good exclusives alot are ruined by the lack of power from the hardware and are rushed. Ps3 came out on top with higher rated exclusives

I didn't see it at all. It's by far better than the 360 in an unbiased viewpoint because it gives more features for a lesser relative price. Just think of how much blu-ray players cost. The PS3 is one of the best and is one of the cheapest but has everything else as well.
