Oh Angela Lasnbury, such an actress! Is it sad that the two actresses I want to meet more than any other are Angela Lansbury and Julie Andrews? Between Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Mary Poppins you will find my entire childhood.
Mary Poppins is a great movie, but I saw this first, this will always be my greatest memory with my mom, I miss the time when musicals meant something, now they are just old and no one respects them...
@302fan There are still a lot of us that adore the old musicals. I do agree that most people don't appreciate them now. It took REAL talent to be in the old movies which is something lacking in so many of the so-called celebraties now.
Thank you for posting this video. I'm 20 years old. I first saw this movie when I was 3, loved it, over the past 6 years, fought and lost a painful battle against the Age of Not Believing.
But this song helps relieve that wound. Thank you once again.
@RyanStileswliia I am glad to hear that this song helps with the pain of not believing. I hope that you gain the ability to believe again. That is something you should never lose.
@pixiegurl88 Hopefully the age of not believing will never come for you. Thanks to Disney, it is easy to keep the child in us alive no matter what our age is :)
this song makes me want to cry. growing up and realizing peter pan would never take me to neverland and snapping my fingers would never clean my room... SO DEPRESSING.
I'm searching for a songbook with the song that Angela Landsbury sings later in the movie- It's called "Nobody's Problems for me" I believe? Does anyone know where I can obtain such a thing?
@ConcreteSurfer420 I did not know that, thanks for the information. So Walt never got to see this movie completed? I am sure he would have been very pleased.
I'm always just so happy when I hear this song, and I was just as happy when I found the movie on DVD online. Now I can see it whenever I want, but when I just want to see this clip (which is most of the time), I can come here. Thanks for posting it.
the original Disney films were very classic and I personally think that they had the best musical scores in any films. The songs still are great to listen to, and I'm in college.
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm 20, and I love this song and movie, and listening to this song, it's absolutely beautiful. The cello accompaniment sends chills down my spine, and the lyrics are just beautiful.
I just watched this movie too! And I truly love it. Many, many thanks!
I still cry to this day when I hear this song. I remember when I was a little kid, I always wanted to be like Peter Pan and never grow up. But we all have to face the age of not believing.
We do have to take on the responsibilities of the real world at some point, but we are never too old to keep the child within alive. That is why I love Disney so much!
I love how right in the middle of singing a nice and rather deep song she just randomly says "Throw that into the wastebasket!".

One of the most comforting movies and songs. I don't think I ever hit this age though ^^;
I'm seventeen and the child in me is still the biggest part of my personality. I guess the age of not believing will come later...?
