Who's doing the counting!!!!! There was way more than 10,000...closer to 40K. I guess I shouldn't be surprised to hear the number under represented. We could have filled memorial stadium!
holy shit!! here's the charts over here and then way up over here is what happened in Oakland yesterday!!! so many awesome moments all in a row!!! pedal powered music found it's home in the occupy of the port of oakland!!!! my face hurts from smiling so much...i've got blisters on me fingas!!
What we heard during the occupation was that the workers were being paid even though their shifts were canceled because no trucks could get through. Cool. One of the most, no THE MOST, inspiring "actions" I've ever been a part of. We all felt something shift.
occupying an avenue does not hurt goverment or corporate america or really effedt it. the only way to effect bosses is to stop the life with strikes etc. the problem is not only a corrupt goverment or greedy bankers but whole logic of capitalism. so economic crises are not a bug, but a feature of capitalism. and it is impossible to fight budget cuts and other effect of crises without involvement of the working class. because of this reason shutting the port is right and important.
Why did we shut down the port? Is this to support the strike? Or is this to just 'damn the man'? Honestly curious what the goal is. Not downing it - just want to know what the constructive move is. AGAIN: Not a hater. I'm trying to educate myself on this. Thanks for any answers on how this helps out our cause of ending corruption in our government.
Thinking that your political beliefs are so correct that they justify this kind of thuggery is the best definition of self-righteousness imaginable.

@kipchoge I would not be surprised if you felt something shift. Oakland is located near the most active geological faults in the united states.
