it doesn't matter how old you are imo. if u know your how your deck works, how to use it in different situations, and have the money to build a competetive deck you can win competitions.

Not really. There's a nine year old kid who plays at my local game store and he usually makes it to last or second to last round of tournaments.

well ok, but in belgium magic isn't that popular so there s only the competitive core left. kids of nine years old will never be able to reach the last round. in other stores where a greater public is found, maybe they make a chance

There is a parental consent form for anyone under the age of 18 for the PT. There is no real 'age limit' for tournaments. But, if some under the age of 18 won a PTQ, Wizards will not give them the 'plane ticket', but will give them the cash, if they show up to the Pro Tour. It's wierd, but I look most of it up when they did away with the scholarship program.

hey, about the scholarship program, why did they not do it for 2008/2009? i am only 13 and i am very good at mtg, win friday night magic, won some prereleases, high place in a ptq, and i think i could win! will they do it again?

About 2 to 3 years ago they(WotC) made some serious budget cuts to save money. And for what we understand the scholarship program was one of many programs that was shut down.
