  • please cut the music i want to learn

  • very impressive !

the problem of the most newman replications here on youtube is the primary coil that is very small , more turns and wire more powerfull the motor and effeciency will increase...

the original motor as more than 90 km of copper....

i think if you use a secondary coil the consumation will decrease and you can colect that energy to light a bulb or recharge a battery ,or simply to conect a resistor to prove the cop of the motor !

  • Cool man,, good job!

  • how many pounds is the shaft and the magnets?

  • The rotor is actually heavier than the fan. The shaft itself weighs about as much as a TV Dinner (i.e. think "Swanson") - perhaps 12 ounces. As for the rotor, it has about 30 rectangular magnets (from Radio Shack) for a total of 30 cubic inches. At 4.8 grams per cubic centimeter, that would equal 2.36 kilograms or 5.2 pounds. Then if you add in the Neodymium magnets, you are talking about adding a weight equal to the shaft, so its weight is negligible, yet it adds considerably the torque.

  • The new Video of Joseph Newman of a small motor type revealed somewhat of the secret of his engine. Mr. Newman had about 200 lbs shaft/magnets and about 250 pounds of coil. Weight is essential in building momentum, can you check how many pounds is the total motor, coil, magnets? btw, nice video!

  • Thanks!

    Estimate (20 lbs):

    Magnets - 5 lbs

    Ribbon Cable - 10 lbs

    Fan - 5 lbs

Therefore, Newman's latest machine is about 23 times the size of this one.

  • It measures 14 pounds on an electronic scale, so it weighs about 30 times less than Newman's latest machine. For a while, there will be a picture on my profile. Go ahead and take a look at it while you can.

  • how many turns or feet is the coil?

  • The coil has sustained about 800 feet of damage that is concentrated on the upper part of the motor as a result of rotor disalignment in my previous setup. Now I no longer have that problem and now I have about 7200 feet.

Turns were originally 4800 but now they are probably 4320.

  • i like the ribbon cable idea very good work 5 stars

  • I discovered that I was not charging the batteries enough despite the high voltage.

Now I have it running it on 60 volts and it runs just as fast as you see it in this video at same current. But right now it is 3:44 AM (10/04/08), and now I am sleepy.

  • How about your videos zeropointprophet? When we will see them? :D CANT WAIT! :D

  • i am in the middle of a home Reno job and i havent had the time but soon i hope
