  • I know that Guy Gelso had a cancer issue in the late '90s, that might explain his absence here. Hopefully it wasn't, maybe he was just not feeling too hot that night.

  • Do you or anyone else here in youtube land have a close up home made video of Randy Jackson playing the song TIME [from the 3.V album] on his 12 string? Live he usually plays it before they do "Who's behind the Door". I am trying to learn it and I am unsure of a few parts (as the song is in a funky tuning [GGDGBD]). If you have such a video, please, please post it. Thanks a zillion in advance!

  • 30 years later they still jam oooppps guess my age is showing lol! zebra still Rocks met them when they first hit LI at Madhatter Stonybrook back in 1977.

  • Go to their web site and check out the their New DVD. IT is amazing. A must have for any Zebra Fan THEDOOR

  • Yeah, Bobby's filled in for them quite a bit. I know Guy has some sort of health issue, not sure exactly what it is, but it seems to come and go. Bobby's done a bang up job in Guy's absence, so kudos to him. I miss the original lineup though - I was one of the early fans and used to see them in the Lafayette area: The Keg, Slick's, Signorelli's - good times back then.

  • It was breast cancer, Guy fought with it throughout the 90's its gotten a lot better but as you can see every so often he cant make gigs

  • YEEHA!!!! ZEBRA!

  • one of the best live bands ever

  • kick ass!!!!!!!

  • Hey I am from New Orleans and grew up a ZEBRA fan. Yes Guy was out for sometime he did have cancer and was much missed. I will say I saw them once back home without him during that time and they had a band opened for them with a girl drummer and she filled in. Never missed a lick, of course they didn't have a drum solo that night but how can anyone truly follow GUY.

  • Peachmon, awesome. Thanks for posting. As for Guy not being there, this was probably recorded when he was recovering from cancer. I saw Zebra about 20 times in New Jersey back in the 80's. I don't follow them much now, but my friends and I were huge Zebraheads back in the day. Every show was incredible.

  • Hi, I just want to correct the posting about Guy and cancer. This video was recorded in 2006 and Guy did not and still does not have cancer. The reference you are making to Guy's illness was quite some time back.
