I am from Scotland (where the Clydesdales originate from) and I can assure you that clydesdales (pure bred ones) do come in black as well as roan, bay and even chestnut.... although chestnut and black are not as common as roan or bay......
This cannot be a Shire as all pure bred shires have roman noses! and this Clydesdale does not x

@CHEVYedsf Avid horse person or not, He is a Clyde. If you would look closer you would see that he is wet from a bath, so he might look a little darker. Secondly, if you would look at the breed standard, they don't have to be light bay. There are multiple colors that are accepted. There are other videos of Clydes up here and they are just as dark. Lastly if you look at the breed standard again, you will see that at 17.2 he is definitely within height standards. Hope that helps to clear things.

They come in at around 16.2hh and up to 19hh. The average is around 17.1hh.

My clydesdale is 17.2 but not nearly as beefy. You really think he is 2700 lbs? By the looks I'd have to guess mine is about 2200# if he's 2700? Very nice boy!
What a beautiful Clydesdale and a lovely name too! I rode a Clydesdale called Maggie this morning with no saddle, she was brilliant. They are fantastic horses, native to my country, Scotland.

That's definatly not a clydesdale. It's too short for one thing, and it isnt bay. It is probably a shire cross with some lighter breed.
