I'm stupid, because even though I've played the game before, I don't know what the skill points are. What are they? where do I find them

Skill points are just extra feats you can do (for "bragging rights", since they don't count towards your % completion). It gives you an extra life and records your success in the guidebook.

Most skill points are easy. The only ones I'm worried about are getting a Perfect Ripto (even with superflame, I still need to do the dogfight, which is the time when I get so neurotic and get hit for a stupid reason), the Fracture Hills supercharge (I sense a 10 minute fail video), and Ocean Speedway in 1:10.
And yay, you have faith in me lol. Watch me die for some stupid reason in Colossus.

True, but yeah, that Ripto one... He has a nasty habit of hitting me from atop his mechanical Gulp, even when it's hit with superflame...
Well I stand by it. As it seems rediculously difficult to die in Colossus lol.

What? When you're using permanent superflame, all you need to do is creep forward and keep attacking. He never gets a shot off when I do it.

At 9:18, I think I yelled "GO BACK YOUR MISSING JEWELS!!!". I don't know if those were jewels or not but it looked like it. xD

It wasn't. I think that was a fodder bug (which does look like a gem), since I did end up completing the level without trouble. But ya, if you do spot a gem that I miss, feel free to hit me.
But ya, I think I DID miss an extra life near the Glimmer portal. I'm going back there anyways to fetch an orb and see if I can do a swimming in the air glitch.
