  • Some always ask me about knots.

TRUST ME if done correctly your weaving will hold together without a single knot.

I tell my students NO KNOTS! Do not tie any knots!

  • How do you tie a knot. I was told to go to the fourth line then loop and tie?

  • how do you start it off without tying it?

  • thats what my younger sister dose its pretty cool when you take it off the cardnoard

  • GREAT VIDEO!! I am going to use it in my art classes!!

  • if i want to make a scarf how can i increase the length? do i just weave a few pieces and attach them..?

  • @pandaamandaa That is exactly what did with several of my students some years ago. Each student (25- 30 per class) made a small weaving we then cut them off the looms and sewed each one together.

  • @pandaamandaa first you can get a really long piece of cardboard . I have had a classroom of 30 students cut the weaving off the board and sew each one together. See my video "primary weaving" to see how to cut it off the loom.

  • how do you tahke it off?

  • @msyarnfreak

The most asked question "how do you take it off?"

First let me say you don't have to take it off, but if want see how it's done go see my video "primary weaving" it shows ways to display your weaving including how to take it off.

  • This is a brilliant resource, thanks. I syhowed to my third graders today. They were enthused!

  • good vid. thanks

  • Good tutorials on weaving. If you want to make a pouch, pocketbook, etc, just keep weaving onto the back and around again, over and over, and you'll have a sweet pouch for glasses, cell phones, and so forth. When I add other colors I tie the knots so there's extra yarn ends to hang down which adds color, texture and character to the product. Have fun!

  • I am just getting into weaving. The patterns are somethng new for me to try. So far I have just did the over and under all the way though. I end up with a checkerboard look. I love the fringe. Thanks for the video.

  • I love this video...another way to show the kids how easy it is! I love the fringed knots too!

  • I'm a weaver and this is a great way to learn tapestry weaving. Heck, I could practice like this without warping a full loom. I'm a little rusty with tapestries after all.

  • i did this when i was in second grade lol..

  • how does one make a cardboard weaveing loom of thier own?

  • e, da ga jebes ako ne znas da napravis "cardboard weaving loom" nemoj onda ni da tkas. zar nije ocigledno i prosto kako se to pravi..ajd molim te...take onto an easier hobby, for you.

  • he my art teacher im not lying

  • how do i tie it when im done? plz respond quick

  • You don't tie anything, as I tell my students NO TYING IN WEAVING. Most of students just cut off any extra. Make sure to push up weft as you weave that will hold together. your also suppose to something called a counter weave which don't remember how to do it was to hard for my young students.

  • Wow, great video!

  • cool i know how to weave the first time i did it was in third grade

  • o my gosh! u make it look so easy. i take forever!

  • Thank you for excellent animation and easy to follow style.

  • Awesome! Better than the tapestry weaving books I have and much easier to follow. I can't wait to try this. Thanks for a great job.

  • Thank you....Novice having started by looking up different sites on the internet, feeling totally baffled by a whole bunch of words and complicated explanations until I SAW how you do it. Thank you! Great presentation, explanation and advice!
