yo i could build a 90 hp motor using a 200 dollar snow blower 5 hp engine, its so straight forward just put a mini turbo efore the carb and force more air in the turbo is just 250 as well its such a bargain !!!

Lol Let alone the internal work you'd have to do to a 5hp motor to make it any where near 90? Stroker, big bore, big valves, high rev springs, insane rpm...yeah he's an idiot. :)

honestly have u ever considered an electric bike build??? i bring this up seriously! there are some 36v motor push 5hp. & if U look into the design of an electric motor u see the gasoline equivalent to a 250cc. looking @ your trikes R what made me think of it. with the right placement U could put #6 18v.deep cycles on the frame. with 3 pairs of 2. each pair being wired intermittently, U would have a 36v.system with 2,000+crank amps. could B worth money! in math, i think it goes V. x A. = W.

@ford1979truck The motor was actually de-tuned to cut cost and add an electric start, it started out as a 38hp motor, it is 414cc. Check out Parsons Racing Engines they build this mortor with more hp now.

Nice hobby buddy, fanstastic work!!! the one you're working on, however, needs (my opinion) a rear differential, like any kind of a machine, other than a cheap gokart has. Heck, straight axles seem to be a thing of the past. It was just a money saver anyway, I assume. Even riding lawnmowers have rear differenials, You said " it's a little hard to turn", and Heck yeah, I agree. However, I understand that you are just doing it as a hobby, not for regular use, so, I'll shut up. GREAT TALENT MAN! !

That should not be a problem, this bike has a comet torque converter setup that is single speed and will go around 100mph :)

My green chopper only has a 12hp tecumseh engine with torque converter setup and will do around 75mph with no problems.

Engine rpm's are the key, all my bikes will turn at least 7000rpm, a standard lawnmower type engine will only turn about 3000rpm
