  • sorry for this comment but. Do they work on white people?

  • @chofis001 with the right products YES!

  • @crownofHisglory thanks

  • Your hair is beautiful! what products did you put on your hair before doing the bantu knots?

  • @iamjesstine I really like these best with no products... the curls will be bouncy and full! Product weighs down - but any cream moisturizer will do...

  • Really Cute gonna Try and post a short video ; ) thanks !!!

  • how tightly do you do your knots because mine tend to hurt:(

  • what hair type do you have? Ive tried bantu knot outs and i still get more kink/fuzz than curl

  • @cherryblossom152 oh and im 4b/4c

  • does anybody give a fuck?

  • I love your hair

  • I love this!!! Thank you for this quick tut!

  • cutest style ever!

  • They moved from central africa to the east and south of africa and there are currently some 400 bantu languages being spoken - they usualy include these letter ngu, alot of t and k's but predominantely an n or m before a word i.e mpa or ng or njagala -very interesting

  • Bantu peaple have a great history research them the worlds largest migrants (africans ofcourse) who had the worlds best and first civilisations and organised states

  • You r beautiful, your spirit is beautiful and you hair is beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial, I love it and will be trying this! Be blessed

  • very pretty

  • im wondering if you used getl when u did the bantu knots

  • You have beautiful hair and this video is VERY helpful! Thank you thank you thank you!!! :D

  • love it; short and straight to the point.

    beautiful hair!

  • @Hevander75 what are you talking about?

  • @Hevander75 wat the hell....

first off the bantu ppl r dark skinned. and second this is just the name of the hairstyle.

    ignorant.....

  • This is fabulous! Thanks for posting! I'm cutting about a foot and half of my hair off in a couple of days so that I will be completely natural and I have been looking for cute styles. I definitely love this, but how do you sleep with it and fix it in the morning??

  • I wish I could rock all the styles that dark skinned women can! I'm afraid some things just do not look right on a white skinned woman! But every style seems to suit dark skin - wavy, curly, straight, fro, braids, knots - everything!

  • @woobia Don't let your skin color stop you! A white girl at my college frequently has her hair in what people may consider "dark skinned hairstyles". It helps though that she has thick frizzy/curly hair though. Even if you don't feel comfortable with something like bantu knots (using it as an example as this is a bantu knot video), there are pictures out there of lighter skinned people with straight hair using the technique to achieve perfect curls.

  • fab!!!!!!

  • Thank you so much for being short and too the point. VERY informative. Your hair looks beautiful. I really appreciate you all for teaching other women how to take care of their hair. Much love.

  • beautiful style and very simple! are the knots done every night or every other night and what products do you use to moisturize after you take your hair down and to keep the frizz away when doing the bantu knots?

  • beautiful

  • This looks great! Thinking of doing this hairstyle :D

  • thank you for making this..i have always had natural hair but now that i am in college i neede to find some new ways to do my hair on my own.. if there are any other easy natural styles please let me know

  • nice..you look like Sada...

  • amen you keep it short and simple every one else wanna talk talk talk thanks

  • I have to try this, your hair is gorgeous!

  • Beautiful! This is also a protective style for those that have an edgier appeal to natural bantu knots. I wear my hair like this all the time when it's not braided, it gives you such beautiful curls - Women need to know the BC isn't necessary when transitioning - I never did a BC

  • how long do the curls last? do you have to redo them at night or something?

  • nice

  • this is so pretty. it looks like a deep wave. can i try this on natural hair

  • @MsDAPHNY18 yeah you can, i do it all the time and the curls stay in for a long time too! i love bantu knots, awesome curls & i dont have to use a curling iron :)

  • That is really pretty... but my hair isnt as long as ur and Im natural.. I wonder how it will look...

  • will this work on white straight peoples hair?

  • you are very inspiring. love your videos

  • beautiful!!!!

  • wow nice im gonna try this

  • Wow that turned out so pretty.

  • pretty (: I want to do my hair like this!

  • I had the same question. I am transitioning also. still mostly perm though.

  • i agree this is a brilliant way to hide split ends. that style fits you perfectly. thanks for this video

  • youre so pretty omg

  • Hi, what do you do to your hair at night to maintain your curls?

  • Beautiful. .. . so question? what do you put in your hair b4 you do the Bantu not?

  • oh my goodness, I love the affect of this! I want to try it right away. Thanks for your tuts! :)

  • i really liked how it came out!

  • I like this style how long will it last?

  • omg, I love bantu knot outs. Is your hair really long tho? Because mine wouldn't work out that nice, lol, i dont think...

  • Are you natural? I would like to experiment with this but I am completely natural.

  • Has anyone ever tried this on very long (waist length) natural hair? My hair is waist length and I wanted to know if it works just as well, or if it sticks up too much. I've only ever seen this done on shorter hair.

  • Yours turned out reeeally good!

  • OMG! I just discovered Bantu Knotting an hour ago (I'm a mulatta, with really curly, somewhat course hair).

Your hair looks gorgeous. I'm trying this right away, see if it can give some shape to my curls.

    Thank you for doing this!

  • i really enjoy your videos going natural myself for 4years now love your sense of humor keep doing your thing

  • should i do this while my hair is wet or is it okay to do it when it is wet?

  • Beautiful!

  • ty! i'm about to attempt my first bantu knotout hairstyle ever--this really helped.

  • I really like this style, thanks for showing how to create it. Question, how do the curls hold up under intense sweating? I'm an avid runner and my hair is usually wet after long runs. I'm about to embark on my natural hair journey, but I'm very concerned about caring for my hair while also being able to continuing running.

  • WOW! We as Black people are SOOOOOO creative! Love this!

  • thanks 4 dis, about time we start promoting natural black bantu hair, though ur hair isn`t Bantu, the point is still well taken.

  • hi, I have natural hair and I dont want to put any heat in my hair. I also dont want ot put any wax, or jells in my hair. With that said, would it be possible to wear nice looking bantu knots- out styles with just hair lotion in my hair.

  • @wishywashygirl19 Have you tried raw shea butter and leave in conditioner/spray bottle? That's what works for me. I also heard the kinky curly stuff works well.

  • Crown...girl...u've helped me SO much with this tutorial. Thanks mama!

  • Does anyone know, do you have to press your natural hair before you put in Bantu knots?

  • no. you can do it in different ways. right after a wash/condition (while its wet) or u can let your hair air dry and then spray with water as you go along. both ways work great. just make sure you have something that will hold/moisturize the hair. i personally use a little bit of beeswax. works great everytime

  • @SoftHeartConviction you don't

  • SoftHeart, every time i've done bantu knots after watcing these videos i've only blown out my hair on a warm first then cool setting. my hair is shorter (neck length with LOTS of layers) so it turns out curlier. When i want 2 redo i just mist my hair w/a mixture (in a spray bottle) of water, jojoba & castor oil.

  • I love it but is your hair permed or is it just naturally tamed? Because the shine in your hair is gorgeous.

  • Very informative! I'm trying it on my daughter tonight.

    thanks

  • this is beautiful babes im gona try it today:D

  • I love this idea..Im going to try it on my hair...thanks

  • do ya thang girl~!!!!!! :)

  • Do u think Bantu knots look better on permed or natural hair?

I was thinkin about doing bantu knots on my lil girls hair but it's not permed and I dnt want it to look a hot mess.lol

  • i don't have permed hair and i don't think Crown does either. i just blow mine straight on a warm then cool setting, spritz it with a mixture of water, jojoba, & castor oils.

  • @MsSassyLaRue Oh ok thank you. I tried it out and it came out like a culy afro. but it was cute on her.

  • @lovin2mime You're welcome! Because of the many layers and length in my hair, that's how it turns out with mine also. If i put less knots then it looks like a medium roller set...If i put more it looks closer to a straw set.

  • @MsSassyLaRue Oh ok then, thanks again

  • thank you so much. im at a complete loss when it comes to my natural hair, but this helped sooo much!!! cant wait to see how it turns out on me

  • it's really pretty!

  • thanks so much i now do this hairstyle almost everyday i really apreciate u doing this video and your hair is soo pretty :)

  • LOVE IT !!

  • Nice!

  • FINALLY, a sista that keeps the videos short simple and straight to the point. THANK GOODNESS, bless you sis

  • @transnaturel0709 true. but i think most of these people don't have editing software.

  • @transnaturel0709 lol i completely agree. when i did a search just now for bantu knots, i picked this one because of how short it was!

and it's a great video too..

    : )

  • @transnaturel0709 I LOVE IT!!!!!! I thought I was the only that noticed that some of these people on Youtube ramble and are too much in love with themselves!!!

  • @transnaturel0709 i know rite

  • They're so cute on you!

  • love it

  • its nice you can also do ethiopian style nd braid in the front part and leave the curls the back

  • c vraiment genial ces videos pour nous apprendre a nous coiffer! vraiment très bien reussi!

  • is there a lot of shrinkage ?

  • beautiful!!!

  • lol Pippi Longstockingz!! *thumbzz up*

  • I love it. its amazing. i wanna do my hair like this lol. i dont think it would come out as good though. since my hair still has straight ends

  • Beautiful hairstyle! In order to place your hair in bantu knots, do you need Bobby Pins to hold the knots in place? Or how do you get the hair to stay in place?

  • really cute!!! i did this for the first time a week ago but i didn't really have a method. they still turned out great and i got LOTS of compliments but i wanna try it your way!! i think its so much cuter!!

  • I love it.

  • That looks really good! I can't wait to get my hair longer so that my curls fall better.

  • aaahhh thank you so much. I have natural hair and as a girl with thick hair i have never been given too many hair options. I always wanted to do something like this so thank you so much.

  • My hair is naturel also, and about the same lengh as you'res! ;)

I've done bantu knots in it also, and it looks great without damaging my hair with heat!

I also plait it small at night to pull out, to get a lovely crinkly effect! ;)

  • love it! pretty curls!!

  • imma try it toooooooo!!!!! i have really thick hair

  • awesome. Thanks :)

  • That is really cute. I want to try this too.

  • I love that hair style!

  • u make this look so easy to do. i watched and i'm going to try it. i just cut my locks last year and now my hair is relaxed. i wonder if it will work on me

  • can you do this style io relaxed hair in transition to natural

  • Yes you can!!! looks great and hides the two different textures too!

  • iimmma try it ya!!!! im so excited

  • what if you put hair spray on it or gel before twisting it, will it last longer?

  • yes :)

  • I put locking cream on it before i twist it to help it hold. : D

  • Hi, would you mind telling me what kind of locking cream you use?

    Thanks so much!

  • Jane Carter Solution Twist & Lock

It has shea butter in it too so it leaves your hair soft and shiny!

  • wow you have absolutely no idea how beautiful you are in this style. My goodness. I hope when I unfurl them that they come out that pretty!

  • Those really look good on you! I about to go wash my hair, and start twisting now!!!!!!!!

  • Wow I tired this and my hair didn't work at all. LOL. Now i know it's ok for them to stick straight up

  • if u put product in it like a silicone spray or even olive oil that will weigh them down a lil bit like not make them stick striaght up ...like i use one by garnier or even garnier leave in condish helps

  • I have some in my hair now, smaller though! Im transitioning so I thought I'd give it a try, I hope mine turn out well!!!!! Yours are very nice!

  • beautiful!!!

  • im gonna try it. i hope it comes out nice.

  • these are the best bantu knots ive seen.. i just did mine about ten min ago.. i hope mine come out like this.. its my first time ever dig them

  • Was your hair already straightened before you did this?

&& jus come it out cause she

wanted to do um a afro puff

it comes out soo cute with it lmao..

  • can u do this on short hair cuz i have a long bang in the front and its short in the back can i do it to my hair and it accually come out right??please help.

  • I don't even have the same texture of hair but I absolutely adore your videos!! Thank you!

  • thank you so much for this!

  • So pretty! :-) Inspired me to do a Bantu know style!

  • OMG!! I love this style!!! It works great for transitioning hair too. Thanks for posting this!!

  • I just did the bantu knots on my hair a few days ago. I washed, deep conditioned, rinsed, lightly blow dried and put serum, moisturizer and oil on each section as well as shea butter on the ends. I took them out today and the middle of each section coiled fine. But my roots looked extremely dry and nappy and my ends didn't coil, they looked really raggedy. I knew they weren't going to be perfect the first time but do you have any suggestions on what to do or use so my roots don't look so nappy?

  • omg i never seen anything like this in my life i love it im gonna try this for school

  • U have the best bantu knot I've seen... I really like it...

  • you really did good. keep up the GOOD work.

  • lol the pippy long stocking thing was cute but thanx helped alot

  • thanks! this has given me an idea on what to do with my hair.

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • Beautiful! thanks for sharing!

  • Very nice. Very beautiful.

  • i love it so much your hair is beautiful, im still learning and im white, and my hair is longer but i need to get it layered cut its jus too long and the bantu doesnt seem to work since its long as my shoulders, thank you for sharing!

  • I Do that to my hair all the

time ...........but i always thought it was a somali thing!!!

  • that awsome i'm gonna do that 2 my hair 2 night!!! ur really pretti by the way :)

  • wow you are a beautiful black woman! its such a shame that women like you dont get enough positive respresentation in the media, dont you think?

coming from another black woman xxx

  • Hi, I have a quick question....what texture is your hair? I'm asking because my hair is super thick/coarse so I wanted to be sure that this would work on my hair? This is a GREAT style by the way!

  • this style works on all curly/wavy hair textures. it works well on permed, relaxed and natural hair. it actually makes the curl pattern coarse hair very manageable and soft.

  • That's awesome hair!

I'm going to give it a try. My hair is natural and goes down the back (medium to long) but one side is tight curls and the other side is a bit straight (no joke). So I hope it comes out as evenly and nice as yours.

  • it looks bangin im so going to try this as soon as i take my braids out

  • this looks great !!! i had no idea i could get my curls to look like this ....thanks

  • So pretty!! I have super thick curly hair that I have no idea ever what to do with. I'm going to try this style today. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!

  • beautiful; you have really good ideas.

  • Thank you so much for the hair style help.... I did it and my hair came out so good....

  • BEAUTIFUL.

im going to try these when i take my senegalese twist out

  • does this work on most curly hair types? i'm a natural 3b bsl length. i have some heat damage i did to my self like a re-re back in dec and sometimes my hair doesnt quite curl right. i'm thinking maybe this would help cover up the limpness lol

  • Love this! It's gorgeous.

  • I keep coming back to this video. I love it!

Just so you know, I've credited you on my video for your AWESOME bantu knot and "anti-frizz fluff" technique.

By far, you have the BEST best bantu knot tutorials I've seen on youtube to date!!

  • Hi! If your hair layered??I have a very blunt cut...I was wondering if it's better with your hair layered???

  • wow came out gorgeous, I have never seen a natural bantu set look so shiny, stretched and bouncy...did u straighten it some first?

  • I tried this and my curls were beautiful and then 4 hours later my hair was completely straight...I am not mixed and I relax my hair any suggestions to get it to hold without but bad hair products in my hair????

  • ty so much for this video!!! You sold n the bantu knots!!! This will be great as an alternative to my cornrow (roller on ends) outs that fall flat too soon =/. This style should hold much longer and cut down ALOT of time =)! I gotta try this!

  • I am mixed with relaxed hair, I tried to do this and it fell right back down :( I liked your curls so much :(

  • aw =/ did you try setting lotion?

  • no, I didn't think of that but that is a good suggestion. Thank you. I typically don't use that many hair products though.

  • That was an EXCELLENT video! It was short and straight to the point. Thanks for not posting a 10 minute long video!

  • So so happy you said this. I cannot stomach the 12:45+ minute video tutorials. I always look for videos 3 minutes or less. Thanks CrownofHisGlory.

  • Oh my WOW! You need to model!!!! (Anyway ... , I think I'll try this look on Spring Break!!!!)

  • G O R G E O U S, thanks :)

  • Gorgeous!

  • Does this style work on hair that has been relaxed in the past four months?

  • Why not try it out?

  • Thank you! "crownofglory"! I tried this and I LOVE IT! I posted a video of the outcome. If all goes well it should be posted as a response to your video.

  • wow I love that, thank you. No heat

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I love the bantu knot and you showed it so well. You're so baeutiful too.

  • i tried to do the knot but it turned out all wrong so i am going to get my mom to do it for me lol
