Barry was blackmailed by Wesker! Wesker told Barry that he (or his men who are working for him) took his family as hostages!

Wesker tells Jill that in the end of the game. But Weskers said that it wasn't true, he just said that so that Barry would do what he was asking for.

If Barry survives, he will eavesdrop on Jill and Wesker's talk and he will rescue Jill : )

Isn't it funny how whoever voices Barry acts properly on his death scene, but can't act for the whole entire game before that moment (Jill sandwich scene being one of the best, oh and the 'here's a weapon, it's REEEAllly powerful' scene too)

haha the game is good because of the bad acting. it makes it seem more believable a B horror movie..that was the intention.
