  • Every now and than I stop by to listen to this great song. Every time I do, I remember why this song touches my heart so deeply I always am almost in tears. What a song, just fantastic.

  • Bueenooooo, este Jimmy es un fenomeno.

  • what does this have with angus young

isnt this originally by bb king

  • Very good!

  • By the way, this is just such a great song, Chris Farlow has the perfect voice for it.

As for Jimmy: genious and fantastic as ever.

  • I always wonder why people have to compare great guitarplayers. It is all a matter of taste in the end isn't it? I preder Jimmy Page yes, but I also do love Jeff Beck , and I am an absolute fan of Rory Gallagher. I like Mark Knopfler a lot etc etc. Someone else might prefer Stevie Ray Vaughn or Clapton. It is so silly to say that someone has no taste for or no sense of music just because he has other favourite guitarplayers.

  • Its hilarious to see stiupid comments like Beck is the greatest, Hendrix is the greatest....you've seriously missed the point!! Give up listening to music and go support a football team you morons

  • hey I just saw the image, thats one of mine! I posted it on the Led Zep site years ago! coool

  • recuerdo que siempre estuvo la rivalidad ente Page y Blackmore. Creo que el estilo mas desarrollado por Page fue el blues, y Blackmore mas neoclásico, que supo depurarlo con los años

  • Chris Farlowe sounds like Tom Jones

  • Hendrix is the greatest guitarist ever. Past that, its just taste.

  • the one reason i started playing guitar

  • Gilmour never lost it like Jimmy did. this is like bad lounge music.

The instrumental track on Outrider is a nice track.

  • 1 - Jimi Hendrix

    2 - Jimmy Page

    3 - Blackmore

    4 - Lynard Skynard

    5 - Eddie Van Halen

    1391 - Angus Young

  • @Chueqitoo angus is 3rd

  • @Chueqitoo angus is 3rd. eddie van halen is 1391st

  • @Chueqitoo Lynard Skynard? You mean Van Zart?

  • @Chueqitoo All good choices, but I'd have to say that the best of all time was Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • @koyunbaba73 Jeff Beck pisses all over SRV

  • @Chueqitoo 1.Jimmy Page - 2.Eddie Van Halen - 3.Tony Iommi - 4.Ritchie Blackmore - 5.Angus Young - 6.David Gilmour - ...

  • @OzzyLeePage they all bow to Jeff Beck . Each of those gentlemen would tell you the same

  • @RisingSon011

No they wouldnt dont be so idiotic....read up some music history

  • @victorxyz I would venture to guess that i know alot more about music history than you do , chump .

  • @RisingSon011 I doubt that very much seeing as how you've already made a mega-blunder in your original comment

  • @victorxyz my ruling stands .

  • @RisingSon011 hahah yes I meet delusioned people everyday

  • @victorxyz so what exactly is a delusioned person ? Do you mean a "delusional " person ? Cretin.

  • @RisingSon011 read th etypo correction you idiot! why am I asting time on a mental pygmy, go fuck yourself

  • @RisingSon011 and as you could only further the argument by resorting to highlighting a typo, that really is scraping the barrel and an admission that you're wrong.... it means you lost and I won! bye bye non-entity

  • @victorxyz thats not a typo numbnuts It's a word that does not exist , but you are not well educated enough you know the difference . While I am ' reading up on music history " , you may consider brushing up on the English language . Congratulations on your big " win " . You must be proud

  • @RisingSon011 No that should have said 'not well educated enough TO know the difference' oh dear

  • @OzzyLeePage im sorry but... who is tony lommi? :|

  • IMO - No guitarist is above Jimmy Page.

There is Jimmy Page & then there is everyone else! Period!

  • Love this song

  • Jimmy page it is the best guitarist of the world!!

  • Always in the top three! And still in the top 5. Definitly influential wise

  • Hah, I really can't imagine how stupid person must be to say that Angus is better.

Guy that is great rock'n'roll guitarist. His funny, yea, still catchy riffs, nothing else.

You want to compare him with the man who created most beautiful guitar songs, most crushing rock'n'roll riffs, absouletly brilliant folk songs and much more. His virtuosity, his versatility and innovation, versus fair skill in rocking out. God damn.

  • angus young is aGREAT guitarist .Absolutely flawless onstage and in studio .But to me it's what you play and not how you play that will ultimately build your legacy in the end.Page is one hell of a composer of guitar music .Alot aof great players can't write anything interesting.

  • Jimmy page is an original. He was one of the early British invasion # 2 heroes who took black American Blues and sold it back to us with a twist. Thanks to guys like him, including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and many more, white kids all over the world recognized blues music as a wonderful style. He is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good take on Leon Russell's song....Am a big Leon fan and saw this title and had to take a listen. He wrote many songs covered by the best of the best in rock, pop, and country. ;D

  • Love this from first listen in 89 or so. In some ways better than the legend he came from!

  • this is the reison hes the best

  • if i was to make a list of my favourite solos ever, it would be every zeppelin song with a solo plus this

  • Jimmy Page OWNS ALL!

  • This lead can be played numerous times for your enjoyment!

  • hmm this doesnt sound like a hendrix song

  • just classic

  • Thumbs up if you agree if Jimmy Page owns Angus Young because I have seen so many Angus Young vs Jimmy page videos and heaps of idiots have said Angus is better and I dissagree the shit out of that, Jimmy Page is a god!

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse WOAH!!!! SOME PEOPLE THINK ANGUS YOUNG IS BETTER THAN PAGE? I think the best solution is to just ask mr. young because I don't think he would even agree with that. People are fucking stupid.

  • @paulsmojo89 ye i know aye

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse Well it's difficult, their playing styles are very different. Above any guitarist, I don't care what genre, I'd pick Jimmy Page, but I can see where the Angus fans are coming from. If they like his playing there's really no problem, Angus is good.

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse just about everybody owns angus young

  • @TheMusiciansFriend jimmy page is better but angus young is still a legendary player. u cannot play better than angus because you are not famous for playin.

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse Idk they've got very different styles but from what I've heard...jimmy page has much more sophisticated licks and solos than any ac/dc song I've ever heard. Also a broader range of style... But that's just from what I've heard.

  • @justincarson your theory is correct . angus is a great rock and roller , but he is a bit of a onetrick pony compared to Page . If Angus was handed a guitar tuned to DADGAD , I 'd bet he would not know what to do with it . But at the same time , Angus plays note perfect nearly every time and he can do alot of great things within the pentatonic scale . Page was a session player who played sometimes country , jazz ,pop , and even ad jingles all in the same day . Very diverse player

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse the key to ac dc 's succes wasn't angus, it was malcom ;)

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse I love Angus, but he can't hold Jimmy's jock strap.

  • @WhosHouseMyHouse No doubt that Page is a MUCH better technical Guitarist, than Angus Young, but its TWO different kind of approaches, so comparing the two makes but little sense! Why not just enjoy what they BOTH do? ;-)

  • @MegaSimon70 You are totally right!!!! I wish people would stop comparing great musicians. they all have their own qualities and they will touch a string by all kinds of people, so please, this is such an neverending discussion.....

  • I know this is going to sound weird, but I really need to get it out of my system. . . just ignore this.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! JIMI HENDRIX ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There, I'm better now.

  • @Quincy0047 So why are you posting this on a Jimmy Page video.

  • @Progehr34 aaahaha my bad. I was listening to a playlist with jimi hendrix songs on it, and this slipped in and I didn't notice. Jimmy page rocks, then - I seriously wish I had those guy's level of talent, because then I feel I could sit around at my house all day, playing guitar and listening to the stuff that I play.

  • @Quincy0047 no worries.

  • Written by Leon Russell

  • one of my all time favourite guitar solos ever

  • @750tblack Emerald Eyes is awesome. I didn't care for any of the vocalists on Outrider, even Robert Plant's "The Only One."

  • @DasGoldenBoy If Jimmy ever does another solo effort, I hope he will explore more instrumental efforts.

  • i honestly dont like chris's singing but this was a great album liquid mercury , wating my time, blues anthem , prision blues , emerald eyes & the only one are great songs the best one in the album in my opinion is emerald eyes

  • That is my favorite guitar solo of all time. It's not fast, it's not flashy, but he just hits all of the right notes

  • A beautiful dedication as only Mr. Page could do!

  • Don't you wish it was Robert Plant?

  • who sings here

  • Chris Farlowe.

  • the hallmark of a tasteful palyer is that they can add their playing to any song and almost always make it good. Here is such a point.

Maybe the singing is too old school for young people today, but it is still good singing, and Jimmy's playing counterpoints it very nicely.

  • The critics have ALWAYS been wrong concerning Jimmy. He is phenominal and always 10 years ahead of them. Unfortunately Zeps shadow is too big for Jimmy, he dont get a fair shake. just my opinion lol

  • page is in a unique position . so many bands have followed his style that if he plays like jimmy page , which he is going to do , people will say it sounds like everyone else .

  • Very good point! Never really thought of it that way but its true Cinci.

  • what?

  • just buy outrider on tape to listen in my car, sounds good even if most of the critics were pretty shitty 'bout this album

  • Don't forget to put up The Only One. ;-)

  • The solo at the end reminds me of achilles last stand from Presence

  • @capetown99 yeah man.

  • Just the greatest guitarist.

  • This is a mature piece of music. It shows how much Jimmy Page developed as an artist. This piece isn't about flash or technique. With the simple melody he chose, Page manages to evoke a number of deep emotions and memories.
