floyds natural weight was 125 pounds.. cotto is naturally 170.. paul williams is around 165.. cotto and paul williams should be fighting people like taylor, hopkins, and winky wright ect.. floyd came up from 125 and beat everbody he fought. i remember floyd was begging to fight mosley and mosley declined. nobody wanted to fight floyd 5 years ago. moving up from 125 to 147 is totally different from moving down from 165 to 147.
I don't know who's better either out of Marq and Pac so i don't know if Floyd is really doing a warm up fight or if Marq is the real deal. At 35 though, he has more heart than anyone. I think Floyd can beat them both in a decision fight but if either fight is cut short by a KO, Floys would be the recipient in both fights. Floyd may not be a welterweight, any more than Roy was a heavyweight. Sure, he cherry picks guys, but he's been winning. Truthfully, he shouldn't say he's the best of all time, but I don't think he would have chosen Marquez if he didn't plan on fighting Pac eventually. He probably retired when he did because he knew the guys the public wanted to see him fight at the time were too big for him. When talking about fighters like Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Clottey and a few others Floyd fans say these guys are bums or they say he can't get any money fighting them. marquez will lose to mayweather, coming up two weight classes to fight a guy as athletic and skilled as mayweather is a bad idea. Pacman is one of the lucky fighters than can carry power up weight classes. If mayweather can take Marquez and K.O. him EASILY then pac is in a little bit of trouble. Watch the Marquez fight with Diaz. Marquez said Manny wouldn't fight him so he wanted to fight Floyd the pound for pound champ.

Ya i agree. I just don't anyone can beat Mayweather. NOBODY moves like him. He is just a product of natural ability, being taught since birth how to box. And it shows. No one is as physically, or talently hifted as him. You see how he trains? NOBODY trains even close to him. And the way he moves, and counters, i hate to say it, but skill/technique pretty much always beats heart/determination. I fight MMA myself, and I just watch the fighter in the ring/ training. I dont think he will ever lose

I agree with you 100%!!! Mayweather thinks that everyone wants to see him lose, but it's not that. People want to see him fight the best weather he wins or loses. And your right, he will not be remembered as a great fighter down the road. He frustrates other fighters by putting his back to them instead of fighting with them and exchanging back and forth. If its not to late. Boxing fans might still end up respecting him and remembering him, even with some loses in his career.

floyds natural weight was 125 pounds.. cotto is naturally 170.. paul williams is around 165.. cotto and paul williams should be fighting people like taylor, hopkins, and winky wright ect.. floyd came up from 125 and beat everbody he fought. i remember floyd was begging to fight mosley and mosley declined. nobody wanted to fight floyd 5 years ago. moving up from 125 to 147 is totally different from moving down from 165 to 147.

I don't know who's better either out of Marq and Pac so i don't know if Floyd is really doing a warm up fight or if Marq is the real deal. At 35 though, he has more heart than anyone. I think Floyd can beat them both in a decision fight but if either fight is cut short by a KO, Floys would be the recipient in both fights. I hope his training consists of lots of running cause he'll need endurance.

Floyd may not be a welterweight, any more than Roy was a heavyweight. Sure, he cherry picks guys, but he's been winning. Truthfully, he shouldn't say he's the best of all time, but I don't think he would have chosen Marquez if he didn't plan on fighting Pac eventually. He probably retired when he did because he knew the guys the public wanted to see him fight at the time were too big for him. And Floyd is a diminutive guy, so as a natural lightweight perhaps, it's a logical move.

Thank's for the comment's but let me make this as clear as possible.Number one, Marq could have taken that second fight with Pac but he didn't know how to take it. Secondly, this is a business man! And lastly, if your put your money on Marq or Pac I wish you the best because Marq will be the first to go and Pac will be the last. When talking about fighters like Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Clottey and a few others Floyd fans say these guys are bums or they say he can't get any money fighting them. All those excuses are bullshit. Any one of those fighters will draw big money but Floyd won't fight any of them BECAUSE all these fighters have a good chance of beating him. Floyd has skills but if he doesn't stop ducking and take some chances he (I'm already starting to see it) will be remembered now and really down the line for having really good skills but ducking the greats of his era. I have more respect for Hatton because like the true champs who came before him he fought win or lose. Robinson, Ali, Lewis, Frazier, Johnson, Hagler, Leonard, Jones, Hopkins, just to name a few. marquez pacman III will be a better fight(slug fest), but floyd vs. pacman will be a true boxers fight. Can pacman's aggression get through floyd's defense? Does floyd still have the speed? I don't know, i think if pacman floyd fight went the distance pacman would win the decision. The key to who wins the pacman floyd fight is who wins in the trenches, who can do the most damage in close range.

marquez will lose to mayweather, coming up two weight classes to fight a guy as athletic and skilled as mayweather is a bad idea. Pacman is one of the lucky fighters than can carry power up weight classes. I agree with teddy atlas' opinion than mayweather might be the only guy around that has the speed and skill to match up well against pacman. Mayweather's claim to be the best of all-time is ridiculous, but he gets respect for his defense. I haven't seen anyone get a clean shot at FLoyd.

I agree with you, in fact, even if there will be some kind of time machine that will let Floyd Sr. and other former great boxers fight Manny in their same age, I don't think they will last the 12 rounds. An old video of Floyd Sr. shows he is pinning the head of his opponent with left hand while punching it with his right hand. That kind of old trick cannot be used now a days. What people want to see are clashing of gloves and faces and see that only one will remain standing after each fight.

If mayweather can take Marquez and K.O. him EASILY then pac is in a little bit of trouble. Because pac can beat marquez through points (knockdowns, clean jabs) but can't really finish off marquez (K.O.). But then again Pacquiao had really improved when he moved in to lightweight division, not only getting stronger and maintaining his ferocious speed but has more accurate punches and perfected the right hook in combination with his deadly left.

Floyd shouldn't even bother with this fight, because after he beats JMM all folks will say is that JMM was too small. IMO he's taking the fight to gauge a fight with Manny. Also, as far as Manny, why does Roach want Mosley, Cotto and anybody else to come down in weight to fight, when he fought DLH at 147. I agree 100% Typical Floyd as a welter, fighting older smaller fighters. But this is not gonna be the "safe" fight he thinks it is. Any objective knowledgable fan will admit JMM has won close to 20 of the 24 rounds against Manny.

this video was worded perfectly. mayweather is more concerned with how he looks than fighting actual competition. he name is pretty boy...paul williams name is the punisher. miguel cotto don't even have one of those names. Cotto is still the best welterweight in the game. the fight with margarito was good, but controversial. so basically Cotto is still the man to beat in my opinion.

As a fan of pacquaio i want him to lose. For two reasons, one he'll get better, two the guy who beats him will get knocked out in the rematch and in the 3rd fight, and then retire and never see him again. de la hoya, hatton, and mayweather pay per view is stealing from the fans.

cotto vs. pacquaio is guaranteed to have someone knocked out. Mosley might decide to dodge and duck for a couple of rounds before the real action. The whole issue of ducking is debatable because williams ducked pavlik, margarito ducks williams, mayweather ducked casamayor in his prime. Just because pacquaio won't fight valero, doesn't mean hes ducking him. Same with Chavez Jr. Question...How the hell is chavez ranked 3rd for WBC? BS.
