  • 7 people that don't know how is good the life with led zeppelin

  • too bad they don't want to release the DVD. Stop being greedy and think about your fans.

  • @cpren56 That sounds about right, the whole song is in G. Thanks!

  • I'm guessing Page is playing this one in a flat tuning or a half step down because Plant can't hit those notes anymore?

  • @GrantH527 I heard its a whole step down tuning

  • @GrantH527 a bit more than a half step. lol

  • These guys in their sixties still own every other band one sixth their age!

  • How can Zeppelin be complete without Bonham?

  • @RobinZuFALL By putting in Bonham's son, of course!

  • How can Zeppelin be complete without John Bonham?

  • so sad what's happened to Roberts voice... I know he's in his 60's an all but it just makes me sad :(

  • it doesnt even sound like plant imo

  • @Mikethekiller7 robert plant is now about 66. At that age you can't expect him to have the same vocal range and control he had in his 20s. His voice like everything else, aged.

  • @richardthewriter The guy just turned 63.

  • @beatlesfan134 exactly. and about usually means an approximation so saying he is about 66 is on the mark if he just turned 63 so thank you for confirming my point.

  • @richardthewriter Uhh, are you on coke or something? Or are you just stupid? My point was different than yours.

  • @beatlesfan134 is there like a tape delay for people living where you are? why are you STILL commenting on this. This was a week ago. LET IT GO. Move on with your life. Spend time with loved ones. Go for a walk. Go see a movie. The stupid one here is you for still responding to this comment. Get over it, buddy.

  • we cant even tell rbrt is 60 years old , his voice i amazing and his anergy aswesome.

  • ". . . and now here's a little number we ripped off from Howling Wolf . . ."

  • @81shovelhd get a clue you idiot

  • Hello there music appreciator.

-Do bluesy bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, Using your open mind take the time to hear my tunes.. your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.

  • @Bhizel87 I agree, almost anyone can play it.. the question is, can ANYONE write that.?

  • Hard rock rules!

  • As someone who was at Knebworth, I can tell you that this was possibly better as they were probably all drinking tea and eating sandwiches before this gig as opposed to what they used to take back then, so Revolver and trailgirl501 are both right.

For all the kids out there, this is what a real gig is. Feel the energy and connection with audience, not to mention appreciate the songsmanship and musicianship. Unparalleled and always will be.

  • John Paul Jones made that riff.

  • @MrWilliamSandoval You're right...and there's a cool video on here somewhere that shows JPJ actually teaching it to Jimmy during a studio session. PRICELESS!

  • LONG LIVE BLACK SABBATH!!!

  • @CraigMoon23 Wrong video............

  • Want to learn real spiritual knowledge?Feel like there is a lot more?psychic awakening, precognition, mind powers, it all exists.THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM it is time to wake up.

  • amazing simply amazing that they can still rock hard decades later

i cant believe this was so recent

  • I agree with Revolver....They may not sound exactly like they did in the "70"s cuz they all are in the 60's....But then do the Rolling Stones sound today like they did in the "70"s?? What about the Eagles do they sound they same today as they did back then?? Probably not....But they still all put on one hell of a show....

  • Go Jason, Go! Look at him play. He's an animal! He paid his father the greatest tribute he could by becoming a pretty damn good drummer.

For all you neigh sayers..They may not sound like they did in the 70's, but give them some slack. The three original members are all in their 60's!!!! That is pretty damn good for a bunch of people who are technically senior citizens! Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time. Always has been, always will be.

  • Man, Jason Bonham surely paid the best respect imaginable.

  • very very very gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddd!!!!!

  • ehm

i may sound like a dumbass?

    but

is jimmy page improvising his solo's from about 90% of the time XD?

  • good drumming.

    good group.

  • i wish i was there....

  • Jason fucks up on drums. There are 20 drummers who can fill in this Job than him. But Robert, Jimmy and John are excelling like usual

  • @Constantijn09

Did you attend this show? I didn't but I did witness Jason's Led Zeppelin Experience tour and he was phenominal on drums....as was the entire band.... But you should appreciate what they're trying to do. Treating Jason like literaly family the other 3 guys have said before.... They played with Jason on drums back in '88 and did it again here.... Cut the guy a break he's always had a spot in Led Zeppelin whether he be the son of Bonham from the sidelines or on the kit in 2007.

  • @Constantijn09 Have you ever seen Led Zeppelin: The song remains the same DVD? At Johns drum solo on Moby Dick it has a video it plays when he's soloing and it shows John racing cars and playing bongos with his son (Jason) at like 6 years old, And he was kick ass then ... Doing the whole drum stick flips while drumming... And you think just because hes not Bonzo he is a bad drummer... Guess what buddy, Hes a decendent of him... Might as well use the same blood for the remaining piece of Zeppelin

  • @Constantijn09

where did he "Fuck" up sounds right on spot

  • @hectorsalina....you obviously have not heard the first few albums..Blues , Folk and Country is what Zeppelin was built around : Black Mountain Side a Davy Graham cover...

    I can't quit you : Killer Blues....Tangerine : Folk / Country tune....

And what's with the "Masculine / intelligent rubbish...

    You're an idiot...

  • @JC44BC the guy is just being a troll, ignore him

  • @JC44BC When did I say that? Don't feed words into my mouth you classic rock bonehead. Guitarist Dick Dale is louder than these guys will ever be.

  • @JC44BC I'm pretty sure Black Mountain Side was a Bert Jansch cover, not Davey Graham.

  • @ColonelHoraldo , Yep ! you're right , it was called Black water side...i took too much Lsd in 60's...so my memory is a little hazy..

  • @hectorsalina Oh classic rock is too....loud for you old timer? Well you go listen to your Robert Plant's Band of Joy, and don't forget your warm milk when you go to bed.

  • Led Zeppelin don't exist anymore. That time was "only" Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham, but not Led Zeppelin. ...but I would have given one year of my life to anybody to attend that show anyway.

  • 1:34 Jason fucks up on drums. =\

  • Jimmy Page the greatest of all....incredible artist !! freaking Sir PAGE §§ PLaying like a genius

  • jusin gud like this but him mor muny

  • do you hear the screech at 1:40 -the speakers today just cant handle this kind of noise haha

  • Jason ain't John... But I'd say he's fucking up to the task! =D

  • and he broke his finger 1 month before that gig,....and he still plays like a fucking madman, Jimmy Page The BEST BY FAR IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!

  • LED ZEPPELIN ROCKS FOREVER!! My favorite rock band of all time and shall remain that way until I die.

  • Yeah, please dont stain this beautiful song and thread with racial b-s.

  • Damn...No wonder they wanted Myles Kennedy

  • Jason Bonham is channeling his father...

  • Wicked...the Hammer of the Gods

  • once again john paul johns has like no errors. i mean ive seen and seen performances and jpj rarly screws up. sure page does that but he page it doesnt matter it will still be good. except on heroin

  • 40 years gone and Gaga still can't hold a candle to 'em.

  • I hate to say it, but Coverdale sings these songs better then Robert Plant when him and Jimmy were together briefly. Just seems like Robert doesn't have the energy anymore.

  • @Leveer13 Robert may have gotten his reunion tour itch scratched when he did 'Unledded" and "Wallking Into Clarksdale." I did read something recently that Plant had gone to Them Crooked Vultures show and he said his ears were bleeding for two days afterward. He said he and Jonesy had traded places musically. Hard rock or heavy metal just was not what he wanted to do anymore.

  • @Leveer13 you are 100 percent correct coverdale can sing better than robert now.

  • @gregfarleyeverst69 Whatever. Robert is the original innovator..Coverman will always be a cheap imitation.

  • wow, 54 people rated up the racist post from pkv... nice people, real nice. I'm sure the members of band would love this. Led Zeppelin would not have existed were it not for black American music.

  • @saotome692 I agree, Led Zeppelin wouldn't appreciate throwing around a racist epithet to praise them. They always stress that their music was inspired by classic Blues.

  • Zeppelin were at there peak around 1973/5...i think they are doing a fantastic job nearly 40 years later...Rock on Zeppelin.

  • I love them even if they bomb man. I love Robert, Jimmy, John, and John Paul just as they are.I don't care if they don't play it the same. Just glad they are still here with us. Rest In Peace John Henry Bonham.

  • The SOUND MAN for this concert sucked balls! You can't hear cymbals OR bass and you can tell that the guys can't hear themselves play on stage. They are off time and trying to wing it....but it seems like they can't hear each other. You also hear major feed back coming out of the mains. I blame the sound man for their perfomance on this one. They all huddled together on stage so they could read each other cause they couldn't hear.

  • This is the saddest things ever - Plant is out of tune and Page is no better - they should have just let it be - awful

  • @optic125

they did it on purpose because plant cant sing as high as he used to so the took the song down a couple of octaves

  • @zosojplp I wonder if that is why Robert chickened out of the reunion.

  • @optic125 Who cares, man its them. they're still the same people. If you're really a fan you would like it just because they are there.

  • Plant should have quit while he was still sounding like himself

  • they need to tour in usa 1 more time so i can see jimmy page live,i HAVE to or else ill never be happy with my life

  • plant sounds better than almost 99 percent of those idiot singers out there!!!!!!

  • sorry to contribute to youtube useless jamering but it realy gets me when i realise someone can be so ignorant

  • hey pkv3518-it's 2010 keep your racists comments to yourself.

  • Is this is half a step down tuning I think it is I think Robert mustve been having troubles hitting the high notes

  • @graemegwoodman I think it's a full step down.

  • I'd give anything to see them live! I've seen Page & Plant 12 years ago, and I've seen Plant 3 years ago so this is all I'm missing!

  • the best band of all time! AMEN.

  • robert plant non sa piu' cantare, prende per il culo il pubblico ....... indecente

  • ty pkv

  • They fucking nailed the ending. Oh, yes, they did.

  • reunions should only be called reunions if the ENTIRE band can re-unite, in this LZ's case, it can't and never will be the same without them all on stage ever again.

  • First Zep concert at the little old Boston Garden in (I think) 1972---never forget Page in his white suit playing the "Breakdown" solo behind his head while duck-walking better than Chuck Berry along the edge of the stage. Then saw the "No Quarter" Page-Plant show with big rhythm and strings sections---with "Kashmir" the overwhelming finish. A friend said they needed 40 people to replace Bonzo and Jones! Nope, you can call me a dinosaur anytime but Zeppelin will always be a league of their own.

  • John must be so proud of Jason!

  • @granite65granite john sure raised him right

  • Wow some real ignorant stuff being said about Led Zeppelin, come on people we're talking about Led Zeppelin. Listen to Black Dog live recordings (BBC, How the West Was Won) pretty similar. Nobody can replace those guys, sadly not even Jason Bonham. People can play their songs, but LZ's energy and improvisation are incomparable.

  • @bhizel87

The bad "rap" that people think is not even close to who they are.

Hey people, the Beatles partied hared than Led Zep. Deal with it.

  • @bhizel87 AND they're in their 60's!

  • never mind it must have been delayed

  • i've written a comment but its not coming up can anyone help me

  • hello in there

  • what do you guys think honestly. Do you think plat should have agreed to a tour. I'm curious as to what other people think. I think he should have agreed but to a smaller degree.

  • @culinaryrock ......well, when you have 20 million people apply for the Led Zeppelin 02 gig,the demand for the band to tour was enormous ,but it won't be the same as it once was.I think Robert is always trying to move forward in his career with different musical projects at the expense of a Led Zeppelin tour.

  • @culinaryrock Absolutely!

  • David Coverdale owns Plant in every way. Stage presence/charisma and most importantly vocally.

  • @therealuptheass Nowadays he certainly does, but in the 60s and early 70s, no one was better than Plant, and you can't even argue that. The voice, the range, the presence, the vocal/ guitar duels between him and Jimmy. He was the best until he lost his voice sometime around houses of the holy, then coverdale's got him, as well as a few others, but only a few.

  • @PsychadelicRockman That's a fair comment.

  • This sounds like a bad cover band. Some rockers don't know when to retire.

  • zeppelin and sabbath=best hard rock bands ever.

  • @ijemekkos4life, and Purple, and Rainbow, and Heep, and Whitesnake....

  • plant§s best at all

  • get a life ,... plant is awesome here - as still :P

  • you just repeating what others said! plant sucks here, the end!

  • Page is playing cleaner than he did in 1977. Although not at his peak here but still plays pretty good. Actually, he did a damn good job at the O2 show! If the band would have toured and played some more they'd all be 100 times sharper if you can even imagine that. Because they sound pretty sharp here.

  • Man, did you get to go to that show? You are sooooo lucky if you did. And I agree, you can only get better with age, right?

  • Actually the best band ever are the beatles hands down but zep are defenately 2nd best.

  • I love the Beatles too. Zep is my fav and Pink Floyd is my 2nd but the Beatles are definately, definately in my top 10. Looks like we have the same taste in music.

  • @pkv3518 i love Zeppelin more than anything but your racist comment is completely uncalled for, I hope when you go to hell the only music you hear is the Devil's D**K in your ear

  • @GranDrJ Fuck off and die. Go fuck yourself. Go fuck niggers. Go fuck Obama.

  • @pkv3518 What is your problem? I don't like Obama, and I don't like people who hate on Zep, but hell, man, I don't use the "n" word, I don't hate Obama because he's black, and I don't let the Zep haters get under my skin like that. Chill out, dude.

  • @bws1971 Who the fuck asked you anything? Fuck off nigger lover! You are a disgrace to Zep fans. Go fuck a nigger and suck their dick!

  • @pkv3518 just nail it to them!

  • @pkv3518 go back to 1910 you ignoramus just by your comment you are literaly too stupid to insult and to a be a zepplin fan and be racist is the most bass ackwords thing ive heard of jimmy pages direct and main influences were from southern african amrrican blues guitarist and singers now go suck any dick you can get your hands on (this may take a while as you are probably and insecure fat fuck ) any dick you can and suck it ... dont for get your kk robe .

  • @pkv3518 YEEEEHAAWW mutherfuckers! - its people like you that prevent us as the human race from moving on, yes black white yellow red because we are the same race and infact every human without a pigmentatioin disorder is a shade of brown

  • @pkv3518 Preach!

  • @pkv3518 I agree with your love of this band. You lost me with your ignorant rascist comments tho. Stupid is forever isn`t mate?

  • @pkv3518 I AGREE !!!

  • @pkv3518 I agree with you but you dont need to be racist you asshole. i dont think zeppelin would be very happy with that. I cant believe thats the highest rated comment. fuck you.

  • led zepplin are good. robert plant has like a 4 octave range

  • They are fucking great but not for a 60 year olds. They are just great on their own. The age doesn't matter, as long they are heathy...

  • PAGE STILL HAS IT...UNREAL SOLO..THE WHOLE BAND IS TIGHT..BLOWS ANYTHING ELSE I HEAR OUT THERE THESE DAYS AWAY!! Remember these guys are in their 60's!!

  • ...not to mention they haven't played like this since Bonham died.

  • Comment removed

  • Robert Plant can still sing in the high range, but the show would have been much shorter. He can sustain it less than even the 1996 shows, but look back to 1996 rock and roll in rio. He can still sing that, but tuning down made sure he'd be good the whole show. And the effect they were going for was an "aged" illusion. It worked nicely I may add :)

  • I figured that was the case, I wonder why they chose certain songs to be dropped and other not. I mean for ex: I think Plant sang certain songs in E fine in standard and others that were in E they dropped. I thought Black Bog sounded good dropped BTW

  • Lol yes, they did sound well :). If you listen to Robert's stuff from recent (well, I have since I was at the studie yesterday lol) he has been able to sing in standard tuning for much longer at an older age. Why? He is practicing :). I heard him sing black dog with Page about two months ago. He nailed the scream. Check out Black Dog 1996 or 1995. That kind of scream after "ahh ah" part. He loves to sing Kashmir still for practice :)

  • he sounds the same just about who cares if he cant scream like used to

  • He can scream. He sreamed in since i've been loving you. He just prefers clean vocals now. He screamed a lot in How The West Was Won era though.

  • so jason is that little kid with the blond hair playing drums in the song remains the same?

  • I ganna cry T___T

  • I LOVE LED ZEPP

THIS CROWD DOESNT KNOW HOW TO WATCH GODS PLAY!!

Led Zeppelin Black Dog 1973 this version is the same with better quality and a better crowd that doesnt sound like 400 fat ass men singing flat :P

    LED ZEPP FORFUCKINGEVA

  • If you can watch the 1973 one and think this is 'better', you're delusional. Sorry.

  • totaly but you have to remember they r not 30 anymore i take pleasure in led zeppelin itself

  • nope same crowd just 40 years older :P

  • Considering how big this show was, it think that audience would have been made up of only die-hard Led Zep fans

  • Plant is still and always will be the man! Always evolving.........

  • Good Page.

    Not Bad Page.

  • Sounds good considering that they are in their late sixties (except Jason). I suspect all of you bashing them will be shiting your pants and in a home by then.

  • must be nice to carry your fathers legacy with an amazing band like this GO JASON!!!!! RIP JOHN BONHAM

  • thats so anoraky

  • anorak = jacket (in french)

    its jackety?

    or do you mean ANARCHY?

  • no u idiot. i was replying to someone. if something you say is anoraky, it means its nerdy and sad, e.g its anoraky that u bothered to say that.

  • you dont even know what you are talking about plus who cares just listen to the damn song enjoy life

  • jason is super tighttt. good shit

  • jason is almost good as his dad just not as much famous becuz he wasnt in zepellin his dad was!!!if jason was alive in the time instead of john he woudve become as bigs as is dad!

  • Most performers won't reach those notes in concert. It's too much of a toll on the voice. Plant rarely approached it back in Zepp's peak days when they were performing.

  • Comment removed

  • alright my bad .....sorry....he son good to

  • RIP John Bonham....i missed bonham's work at drumming, the new drummer is not even close 2 bonham!!!!

  • That drummer there is John Bonham's son, Jason Bonham.

  • genetically he is though

  • He's closer to Bohnam than anybody else because that's his son. He taught him everything he knows.

  • the drumming aint even close Bonhams work..theres just something missing.

    Anyway Zeppelin rules!

  • Shut up! What do you know. The guy does a great job---Like Father like Son...They are tuned in 435 so it ain't quite the same. The drumming is like right off the original albums...

  • The drummer is Jason Bonham. John's son.

  • led zeppelin is the best of the best.....

  • Am I wrong or J.Paul Jones looks younger today then back in the days?

  • damn turn up pages guitar,i can barely hear him

  • The guys are great and always wiill be, we just have to remember that we all get older, thats life !!! Can't expect them to perform like as if they were 35 years younger. Do we say to them look you are too old now so get lost?!! No one bothers about 70 year old violinists or whatever if they still perform, the fact is that rock is high energy stuff and what Zep did at their peak was extreme brilliance, so lets enjoy what they still can do and appreciate it, the memories are on tape anyway.
