This was the worst commentating by HBO for a Championship fight. Once the ref warned Khan, why wouldn't Khan switch it up so he wouldn't be penalized. Khan thought he was in there with a cup cake. I think he underestimated Lamont but I would love to see a rematch. Khan has been exposed. NO INSIDE GAME!!!
@batosmak For the record I'm a Khan and Peterson fan. Who cares who lost that fight. When I had 20 people in my house watching that fight, BOXING won that night. Great action. I would have paid to watch that fight. Fuck BOXING stock. If everyone fought each other, it wouldn't matter who wins or loses.
AMIR GOT FUCKING SCHOOLED MAN!! AND LAMPLEY ALWAYS PULLS THAT SHIT,THAT COMPUBOX SHIT...LAMPLEY DID THE SAME SHIT DURING THE MARQUEZ VS PACMAN 3 FIGHT!!
What a lot of people dont understand is when a fight is close, doesn't make it a robberey... Also if there is a rematch peterson could stop khan if khan doesnt change it up. I subscribed too!
This commentary is spot on. I would NOT have taken the points away from Khan. But, like, c'mon, even that knockdown of Peterson in the first was pretty questionable. I dont think it even was one. I give the fight to Peterson, who one it convincingly. DoggysStyle- spot on.
Plain and simple, Khan would have lost anyway because if he didnt push off to create space, Peterson was gone be in his ass more and would have stopped Khan.
lol...given him a 10-8 round on the third...thats just crazy...that should have been no more than a draw...they stole the fight in the manner that point deductions do sway judges...It wasn't a fair shake
@ELbigstah I didn't give him a 10-8 round, I scored it 10-9 but I was just emphasizing on the beating Peterson dished out. The point deductions were stupid I agree. I would be very upset if the point deductions changed the outcome but in my view the point deductions didn't effect the outcome as even had Khan had those 2 points he still loses the decision...
@carlosg815 i dont know what fight u were watching, i had it 114-111 khan. but i could see 113-112 khan (the 11th for me was a toss)... most boxing sites scored it either 113-112 khan, ive seen a few 113-112 petersons but nothing as high as u had... i gave khan 1,2,5,6,9,10,11,12... 12 with pt deduction made it 9-9 and like i said 11 really was a toss up
@projectpaki throwing more punches does not equal victory. it's not a punch throwing competiton or a race. khna threw like 200 more punches but only 14 more punches than peterson. so khan threw pointless shots that weren't landing so you reward him for that? secondly he pushed of over 60 times in a 12 rd fight... 5 pushes/round. mayweather lost points for pushing against castillo in their first fight. it was a legit deduction(s). khan lost
@Veechie4short I still had Khan up even with the point deductions, I was actually at dc for the fight and live I scored it 113-112 khan but knowing it was close i wasnt surprised they gave the decision to Peterson. The next day on HBO replay I scored it 114-111 Khan and yea he was pushing and pushing constantly but the ref shld have took the second point in the 11th rnd rather than the 12th of a championship fight. Still, I thot Khan should have won it, not mad at the decision tho
@carlosg815 point deductions were justifiable. people often forget that pushing is ILLEGAL in boxing, even though it's a lesser offense (misdemeanor). another thing that people forget is that floyd mayweather was peanalized for pushing in the first castillo fight. there's a video on youtube that shows khan pushed off 54 times AFTER the first deduction. khan lost the fight.
@CirocSunrise22 I agree on all accounts... The first part you mentioned is exactly why I love Khan and Peterson put on a tremendous display in the ring. As a boxing fan you really can't ask for more. I am looking forward to the rematch
@carlosg815 i like ur vidz, but i disagree w/you here.i think khan was robbed.i 100% AGREE w/the 1st pt the ref took away cuz khan got several warnings 2 stop pushin.i disagree w/the 2nd pt deduction cuz of WHEN it came in the fight,in a CLOSE FIGHT.even w/the 2pt deduction i still had khan winnin by 1pt.quick fact, the HBO team were should B embarrassed 4 bein so pro khan, except kellerman,he seemed neautral
Khan was literally running in this fight it borderlined cowardace this dude is not big time not even close he was knocked out in his only ppv fight madina put in work on him and Peterson whooped his ass but he feel like he deserve a big money fight lol. He unjustly thinks to highly of himself.
What I'm starting to realize is Lampley would give credit to a fighter like Pac or Khan for a shot that didn't land. It used to skew my judging because I figure since Lampley is such a "pro" and I'm not, he's always right. But now I see through the bullshit. Also, do you think an immediate rematch is right? I'd like to see Khan rematch Maidana before he fights Peterson again.
Great boxers fight quality opponents, which includes threats in order to build up boxing stock. If any fighters doesn't build their stalk fighting quality threatening opponents-their FRAUDS.

I saw a close fight but pushing is illegal, I didn't see a robbery at all. Peterson was throwing bombs omg, I thought khan would pass out at any second. Booooom, reload boooooom, reload baaaaam!!! Those had to hurt.
yo this was a great fight! man i get confused when people say that boxings dying or this is another nail in the coffin for boxing because from 2000-2011 there have been some classic fights between really good and great fighters
You should watch the uk sky sports comentary completely different from HBO they don't give a fuck who you are if you win you win. Lampley and Kellerman didnt even hear when the ref warned Khan and the judges that if Khan continued to push he would deduct a point. Plus the knock down was suspect and maybe the judge could've let Khan off in the 12th but at the end of the day thems the rules
@76rodderz I thought the knockdown was legit personally. I think Kellerman was less bias than the others as when Lampley was trying to give the impression that a warning wasn't given Max corrected him and said "The ref has warned him several times."
@carlosg815 Kellerman definately was less bias than the others, Lederman can't score but i still think the knock down was suspect i'd have to see it again.
Great Post!Shit I had to mute the Fight because of HBO's bias! after the first rd. Lamont worked the body and slowed Amir down to win the fight. now Bradley wants to fight him again but they are already talking immediate rematch!
@floopehobaloobie Totally agree with you Max Kellerman and Larry (whatshisname)'s commentary was totally inaccurate and clearly biased towards Khan. Lamont won this fight because of his consistent work to the body. Also, Lamont's fought with a sterling defence and for the most part, Khan was hitting gloves, albeit he threw a lot of punches.
i dont think amir was holding due to headbutting (petterson didnt even butt him from my memory) i think amir was pushing and holding cos he has a poor defence and basically ZERO inside game. amirs best years were in the amatures. amature boxing is almost totally outboxing and amir is top class in that field. however the pros is different and freddy must of just worked on amirs strengths and totally ignored his weaknesses! if amir was worried about pertersons head can you imagine bradleys?...lol.
HBO is in bed with Freddie Roach. If you remember Jim Lampley said at the end of the fight " this is a extremely even fight" so with that said , why would HBO then act like Khan got robbed?
They love freddie roach and his fighters. Khan ran the whole fight and HBO never said shit about it. Great Post
After seeing this KHAN would get slaughtered vs someone like Ortiz at 147. KHAN is one of my favorites tho for the same reasons you said.He left the UK with a purpose and has been sticking to it.He wants to be the greatest so he fights everyone and anyone with no hesitation. Old school fella. Much respect to him. Cant wait to see him working at it again sometime in the near future.
