I first heard this song on the"Matchmaker" soundtrack from ages ago. It took me a long time to find the recording, but I'm glad I did. I'm a longtime fan of Karl and WP, and this song is a gem.

Unfortunately, whoever remakes songs has an advantage; DUH! Repeat for you dumbasses: AS LONG AS YOU HAVE MUSICAL TALENT, YOU HAVE AN ADVANTAGE IN REMAKING A SONG). I think this version is better. However, the lyrics make this song. Listen to the lyrics. This song is brilliant. The song writer deserves all/most/some (whatever you consider important) credit for making this song a reality. If you want brilliant overall music listen to classical. It has YET to be EXTREMELY tampered with.

I've always liked "She's the one", but only Robbie's version. I think that... this guy should take more singing lessons. I actually turned the sound lower, because it was so painful to my ears...

Look up Ray Heffernan and Angels - Rob didn't write it solely. And it was thanks to Guy Chambers that Angels was the hit it was.  Robbie Williams is no songwriter.

Gladly, the world is full of different opinion. (I wish RW well, he has been lucky in his success in a highly competitive market.) Here we hear the singer and COMPOSER of this fine song (Karl Wallinger) who, in my and others' opinion, has learned to sing very well. Perhaps you are just too used to Robbie's version. THIS is the original, how it was intended. Robbie's is just a cover (although I'm sure Karl was pleased to receive the writing royalties from the sales!).
