@acid612 You're right about everything you said EXCEPT the only difference I'd say is that NOW Iran as a country doesn't look like such a cowardice bitch in the international arena (it looks bad for other obvious reasons). Back then Iran, as a whole was owned by outsiders. Now Iran is owned by tyrannical insiders. Though I hate the situation now, I'd argue that there is that advantage and it should be noted.

Everyone please just stop! Some of you are against the current regime, and some of you are happy the monarchy has been brought down. Of course both had their good and bad qualities, since neither can satisfy everyone. Both restricted people from freedom of speech, and usually did not have their people's needs in mind. But if we are going to sit here and fight and blame each other, then we might as well give up on Iran's future. We should analyze the political mistakes and try not to repeat them!
