This earthly kingdom is the earthly kingdom of the Christ through the HEBREWS
Whole tribes of Nephilim walked the earth then and explains David and Goliath and the spies Mosses sent into the Promised land and came back with reports of Giants (Nephilim) in the land
In fact, if a reader of the bible did not know or understand this the whole OT wont make any sense at all and huge majority of the church does not know these things because the Catholic Church has wiped out these teachings a long time ago.
He was not mad at them for not following the laws. He condemned them for not following them and yet expecting others to follow them and putting people to death for it. The point was, He was calling them out as HYPOCRITES.
While Christ was alive He was an observant Jew but after His death things changed. The law is the schoolmaster that shows people their sins so that they may seek the cure (Christ)
Christ is the fulfillment of those laws and He paid the blood price demanded by the law
The church is not bound by the law Rom 3:26-30, 4:5, 5:1, 9:30, 10:4,11:6, Gal 2:16, 2:21, 3:5-6, 3:24, Eph 2:8-9, Phil 3:9
The 1st council of Jerusalem was about this very point of which peter told Paul not to but the yoke of the law on the gentles that the Jews themselves could not keep. Acts 15:10 but I suggest reading the whole of ch 15
This what you are missing just as the majority of today's so called church misses
4/5 of the bible is to the Hebrews 1/5 is to the church
3 days ago i caught a christian say that god has infinate wisdom...yet made a mistake with gays...now to be fun, i even gave him an argumental point that gays has to do with genes, and biology and enviorment and stuff, as ignorant as it was...he still didnt buy it...god makes mistakes i guess.....well im waiting to see the blue prints for his PLAN B....even these PLAN A plans as well...what was he thinking???
Xians who say they aren't bound by Moses are wrong. Matt 5:17: "Don't misunderstand why I have come. *I did not come to abolish the law of Moses* or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose."
Hang on! Let me see if I got this shit straight; so god came down from heaven to shag Mary, a lifetime virgin, only to give birth to himself? I think there are some serious flaws with this idea! Daniel, please don't bite my head off, with those enormous, white teeth of yours! :(
@ReligionIsBULLSHlT There was no shagging going on. In order for our sins to be forgiven blood had to be spilled and God came in flesh as our KINSMEN REDEEMER to fulfill that very role as prophesied.
Well...I'm no Abrahamist, infact I despise those religions, but I don't think you have mounted a strong attack on the f**kwads. The Trinity refers to mystical definitions which might be gleaned in altered states. Everyday sense & grammer does not cover everything. Also Jesus saying he came to fulfill the Law allows multiple interpritations. For one, no one be stoned for adultery or homosexuality anymore (where did he say 'not to cast the stone for all people sin'?). Oh, I'm not straight...
Jesus is a hypocrite because he says he is "ALL LOVE" and yet he is the biggest asshole ever to live because if you do not believe in him he sends you to an eternity of pain and suffering and hire and hell. Wow, he is very selfish and very much an asshole to have clan rules like this and thus I am going to hell because when I pray to jesus i say "Fuck you you because you are a horrible evil man. i to believe in you, I believe you are an asshole"
So how long did the bible come after the 10 commandments? Homosexuality is wrong according to the bible but how come this apparent sin was not mentioned by god in his own commandments? What suddenly changed?
Christians seem to think they aren't bound to the laws of the Old Testament just because the New Testament exists. These are frequently the same people who take a strictly literal interpretation of the creation story and feel it is so important that they won't let their kids learn about evolution. The creation myth is definitely part of the Old Testament. So if you're bound to the creation myth, why aren't you just as bound to the OT laws? It's called buffet style Christianity ;)
@GIO77ification Actually "thou shalt not kill" is a bad translation. It should be "thou shalt not murder". I hate when people twist words...Not that I am defending the bible! Just sayin'!
@TheBlackPhilosophy nearly all scriptures I see of the 10 commandments use the word kill. Murder was most likely used to defend killing......change it to murder and then decide for ourselves what we consider murder and then suddenly everything is fine.
Out of curiosity, but do you understand what the Hypostatic Union is? Your description of the Trinity does not take that into account. Also, have you even read the Apostle's creed, the Nicene Creed, or the Athanasian Creed?
@LiamJR24 it more likely that mary was a rape victim and so to escape the stoning death or the to be wed to rapist punishment she concieved a lie of faith in conlusion with joseph who would have much to lose also in title and profit
What do you think about the Christians who don't believe the Bible is the word of God? I have a couple friends who are Christians but dont read or believe in the Bible to be the word of God and believe it was written by man.
Not to be a jerk dude, but at the end, you make it sound like it's okay to be a witch, aldulterer, and whatever else you said. And to top it off, your hating on christians. Sorry to say this, but you kinda offended me, because of your immoral statements :( no offence. If I was an athiests, i would still keep my moral values. I am not saying your not moral. I see that you say things because your pissed.
@TheMusicSlave95 "Why do atheists pick on Christians the most?" Because most atheists in the west were once Christian or Christianity is around them the most. I am just more familiar with Christianity. If I were raised Muslim, I would focus on Islam, and there are atheists on YouTube who do just that.
What is so immoral about being a witch, adulterer, gay, etc.? God said so? I don't believe in your god, so why should I find them immoral? There are even religions who are okay with these things.
@TheBarkingAtheist well what i meant to say was that just because other people do these things, it doesn't mean that they are right. Gay, I don't have a problem with. But may i ask why you converted into witchcraft? Also more people attack christians in other countries, including jews.
@TheMusicSlave95 Just because people thought they were wrong doesn't make them wrong either.
So you have a problem with witchcraft and adultery, but not being gay? Not very consistent with the bible, but then again, the bible contradicts itself literally hundreds of times.
I left Christianity and was trying to find something new. Paganism just appealed to me.
why do athiests pick on christians the most. I mean they are serious pains in the ass, but i mean their not the ones bombing the fuck out of people like the terrorists, except for the westboro baptist church. I would consider myself agnostic thiest, which means i have faith that their might be something, but can't prove or disprove the existance. My family is christian, but i always had my doubts.
Seems Christians are becoming desperate in finding ways out of their dilemma of defending their belief and justification for this barbaric religion.
For months now, I've been asking them to explain JC's sacrifice! According to scripture, jesus was resurrected, is on his throne, and ruling the universe...so where was the sacrifice??
Believers have been had by a man made religion! Understandably, this is extremely hard for them to accept.
I'm almost certain that the phrases "we're living in a time of grace" and "Jesus's sacrificed replaced the law," really mean, "I don't want to admit that I follow a God who committed the atrocities listed in the Old Testament, so I'm going to conveniently ignore it."
"But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." - Romans 3:21-24
No offense, but your arguments are silly. You should learn more about Christianity.
@owchywawa Maybe it was mistaken to say that we aren't in a time of grace, but that is not the point, for even if we are in a time of grace through Jesus' sacrifice, where does it say to not follow the laws of Moses?
@TheBarkingAtheist how about Jesus declaring all foods to be clean, which is a way of freeing us from part of the OT. But agreed, as a Christian it is annoying that my brethren ignore whole portions of their own faith
1) This is much more complicated than asking is the Christian supposed to keep the law or not? It is very clear from Paul's teachings (as seen in Romans, Corinthians, Galatians and Hebrews and probably others) that he felt the Christian was not under the Law anymore, but yet we have him saying this;
2) The real issues should be whether or not Jesus intended to do away with the Law, which isn't clear imho and Paul would thus be a heretic just as hebrew-roots christians believe he was and/or just which parts of the Law carried over into the New Covenant?
It isn't clear at all what carried over into the New Testament/Covenant). To further add fuel to the fire I want to bring up the book of Acts as further evidence that the Apostles didn't know either.
3) When one reads chapter 15 of Acts you can clearly see that this wasn't a cut and dry issue, if it was a teaching handed down by Christ it would seemly be an open/shut case, but instead they had to call a counsel of the Apostles to discuss the matter of Circumcision in the Law and salvation in Christ. Ultimately their answer was this;
Acts 15:20 "...to...abstain from...idols...fornication...and from blood".
@IntelligentProbe To further throw more fuel on the fire... Paul circumcised Timothy in Acts 16:3 yet in Galatians he says that if anyone gets circumcised Christ will be of no benefit to them, they have fallen from grace been severed from Christ and that those who do get circumcised are obligated to keep the whole law, so was Timothy obligated?? saved? Read Galatians 5:3-4 and it will become clear that Paul ruined Timothy's chance of salvation.
4) Just from this small exploration you can see that the New Testament isn't clear at all about what is and isn't carried over from the Old Law, but yet Paul says we aren't under it, while also bringing it up as the reason why certain things are done/followed. Further Christians pick and choose what parts of these to follow.
Unfortunately, nothing about the Bible is open/shut which imho, demonstrates it's overarching flaw from a supposedly inspired writing.
Here's my question to you. If Yahweh and JC are the same god, why would any rules ever change? Yahweh was a murderous character who had a penchant for killing children, especially for the deeds of their fathers! Both JC and Yahweh approved and advocated slavery, and they both made it clear that they came for the Jews. So evidently there was a diff. between Jew & Gentile...to them.
And as I said before, what was jesus' sacrifice? If u believe in the resurrection, then there wasn't any!
I can't explain why, but even though I agree with you and you make valid points, you annoy me. I still think your videos are awesome though, I don't understand myself.
@NeCacaluXuxultic It says in the bible that even looking at someone who is not your wife with lust is adultery. It's also adultery to have sex with anyone other than the first person you had sex with, etc. Duh.
So exactly what "my people" would you be talking about when you're talking about the ones without the morals, again? Enlighten me, o person who can keep the public from laughing at him, but can't control the contents of my inbox?
@zEropoint68, I have no frigging clue what you are saying but the point that I am making is that just because you are an atheist it does NOT MEAN that you have to be immoral. Atheism is NOT nihilism. I dunno about you personally but since you are white and probably a descendant of Christians ..well.... AHEM! I mean, my ancestors may have sacrificed human lives but at least we didn't go around fucking little 14 year olds nor did we go around killing innocent people at a large scale like theEuro
@zEropoint68 , FUCK YOU! How's that for "Christian"? Have you even bothered to check out my channel? Last time I checked, Christians did not wear fucking feathers. They did not have pyramids and they did not worship Quetzal-fucking-coatl. MY GOD you are fucking retarded. Just because you are an ATHEIST doesn't give you the excuse to be IMMORAL! My ancestors were atheist but if you rape someone, you get skinned alive. Atheism =/= Nihilism.
@NeCacaluXuxultic Adultery can mean a lot of things, depending on who interprets it. Taken to its widest meaning, which those of faith love to do in order to hold it over the heads of those of another or no faith, it encompasses any sex outside of the bounds of your marriage... Premarital sex as well as sex after divorce or after spouses death etc.
if the stuff from the old testament doesnt mean anything anymore, then the 10 commandments don't mean anything anymore either, so christians should stop putting them in schools and government buildings
A brilliant, blistering diatribe that swifty excoriates the conflicted, hypocritical, inconsistant, mythical nonsense that is the xtian bible! Which, as we know, most xtians have never READ! *applauds* Bravo! And faved!
When it comes to "they're one God, with many aspects," the religion of The Seven in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire is a lot more interesting. Three males: Father, Warrior, Smith. Three females: Mother, Maiden, Crone. And the genderless Death. Way cooler than a father, a son, and... err... a ghost?! Guess they just got lazy on that last one.
Oh has someone taken Bible verses out of context? Well, YEAH. Only most Fundies.
Instead of using human rhetoric in arguing important aspects of human life, Fundies use the Bible as a magic quotation book, giving their own, self-serving interpretations.
They'd rather hide behind a book than use the power of human intelligence.
You are so back, did the girlfriend kick you out;) whatever we are thankful, may the tooth fairy shower you with silver and the witch of endure fuck your brains out, we are so happy i,ll be spending the rest of the afternoon sending your vid to all my friends and absolutely to no Creatards. Love rocky.. oh yea i just had a big argument with an orthodox jew that defends burrying a spoon in the back yard if it touches both mean and milk. love
other people stupidity makes me really angry sometimes,
I just go in my mind like "fuck this..fuck this..fuck this.." trying to just leave it be trying not to kill my self from not wanting to live on this planet anymore.
Book of Texemosis is at the very end of the bible, consists of one line and it goes like this "just kidding, there is no god, now go live life and have fun"
urgh, religion is retarded as are the people who follow them. Seriously, my friends have a go at me for 'not being respectful' and that it counts as 'bullying' but they call me witch and silence my voice. My friends, that is against human rights.
Dood, ur takin it all outta cawnteckst! Herp de derp! XD
Seriously, I've heard that before, quite a lot, and it's incredibly pathetic. Whenever I ask those hypocritical, ignorant weekend crusaders if they can come up with any context in which it would be okay to stone people to death or torture them for all eternity, they change the topic or fall silent. Or stick the fingers in their ears and keep babbling incoherent BS like a broken record.
It's Paul who talks endlessly about how the law is not so big of a deal. In his early writings it's more of an issue about gentiles joining the sect and that the Christians didn't know weather to make them follow the law or not. As he goes on, however, he suddenly gives a massive shit about 'grace' and the law being not so important.
I think Jesus, if he existed as described, would have bitch-slapped Paul. Then asked him to turn the other cheek.
@JoelCornah Agreed, it is very clear that the New Testament evolved over time. When one reads the book called Acts, you see that it wasn't clear cut exactly what one should retain from the Law, but later in Paul's writings he clearly seems to teach that the Old Law is out and the New Law (the Law of Christ) is in. However the stronger argument on these issues, imho, would be about what the Old Testament actually states about the New Covenant which doesn't match New Testament teachings.
ah i know the answer to this: it was Paul rather than jesus who spoke of a time of grace etc....most of the BS from the bible is pauline or OT, jesus was an commie hippy;~) i could follow christs philosophy, just none of the mystical bollocks.
The time of Grace will soon end (with the rapture) and return to the way it was PRIOR to the coming of Christ and His death)
So many in the church today try and apply the 4/5 written to the Jews to the 1/5 that is written to the Church and this is wrong.
Not dividing the word correctly leads to so much confusion of which most of the church does not understand.

Ok here we go, There is a very good reason why God had Joshua kill certain towns down to the last child and animal and the answer is in Genesis 6:1-2
And you are correct, not very many Christians know their bibles and it is to their shame as you will see by Gen 6:1-2
In Gen 6:2 who are the 'sons of God'? The answer is in Job 1:6, Job 2:1 and Job 38:7
The 'sons of God' are ANGELS and in the NIV those verse in Job are rendered as angels as well as in the Septuagint.

For months now, I've been asking them to explain JC's sacrifice! According to scripture, jesus was resurrected, is on his throne, and ruling the universe...so where was the sacrifice??
Believers have been had by a man made religion! Understandably, this is extremely hard for them to accept.

I'm almost certain that the phrases "we're living in a time of grace" and "Jesus's sacrificed replaced the law," really mean, "I don't want to admit that I follow a God who committed the atrocities listed in the Old Testament, so I'm going to conveniently ignore it."
shadowswallow 3 months ago
ever intereacted with any scholarship on the issue, read historians, cultural anthropologists, textual critics? ....probably not.

You should learn more about Christianity.
owchywawa 3 months ago
@owchywawa Maybe it was mistaken to say that we aren't in a time of grace, but that is not the point, for even if we are in a time of grace through Jesus' sacrifice, where does it say to not follow the laws of Moses?
TheBarkingAtheist 3 months ago
@TheBarkingAtheist how about Jesus declaring all foods to be clean, which is a way of freeing us from part of the OT. But agreed, as a Christian it is annoying that my brethren ignore whole portions of their own faith
jman279 3 months ago
@TheBarkingAtheist
1) This is much more complicated than asking is the Christian supposed to keep the law or not? It is very clear from Paul's teachings (as seen in Romans, Corinthians, Galatians and Hebrews and probably others) that he felt the Christian was not under the Law anymore, but yet we have him saying this;
1 Cor 14:34
The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says.
(continued...)
IntelligentProbe 3 months ago
@TheBarkingAtheist
(continued...)
IntelligentProbe 3 months ago
@TheBarkingAtheist
3) When one reads chapter 15 of Acts you can clearly see that this wasn't a cut and dry issue, if it was a teaching handed down by Christ it would seemly be an open/shut case, but instead they had to call a counsel of the Apostles to discuss the matter of Circumcision in the Law and salvation in Christ. Ultimately their answer was this;
Acts 15:20 "...to...abstain from...idols...fornication...and from blood".
Is this it? Does from blood imply Kosher eating?
(continued...)
IntelligentProbe 3 months ago
@IntelligentProbe To further throw more fuel on the fire... Paul circumcised Timothy in Acts 16:3 yet in Galatians he says that if anyone gets circumcised Christ will be of no benefit to them, they have fallen from grace been severed from Christ and that those who do get circumcised are obligated to keep the whole law, so was Timothy obligated?? saved? Read Galatians 5:3-4 and it will become clear that Paul ruined Timothy's chance of salvation.
IntelligentProbe 3 months ago
@TheBarkingAtheist

NeCacaluXuxultic 3 months ago
@NeCacaluXuxultic Adultery can mean a lot of things, depending on who interprets it. Taken to its widest meaning, which those of faith love to do in order to hold it over the heads of those of another or no faith, it encompasses any sex outside of the bounds of your marriage... Premarital sex as well as sex after divorce or after spouses death etc.

JoelCornah 3 months ago
@JoelCornah Agreed, it is very clear that the New Testament evolved over time. When one reads the book called Acts, you see that it wasn't clear cut exactly what one should retain from the Law, but later in Paul's writings he clearly seems to teach that the Old Law is out and the New Law (the Law of Christ) is in. However the stronger argument on these issues, imho, would be about what the Old Testament actually states about the New Covenant which doesn't match New Testament teachings.
