I'll be there Saturday. BTW, if you're running 25's, you're obviously a more experienced driver than me as I barely hit 27's. Any chance I can get a few tips in at the same time? :P (Can't blame a guy for tryin' hehe)
@Peter141414 Hey Peter! I got something to offer you. Send me a private message if you're interested in racing near the end of march/beginning of april.
Oh yeah, I'll say like Skylinespeedz and tell you that you have a very nice driving line. The only thing I'd suggest is: between corners 12 and 13 - the last U-turn before the slight left before crossing the line out of the last chicane (@ 0.57/1:23/1:50) - go out a little further and hit the concrete, you'll get a better turning grip and pick up more speed. You might knock off 3-4 tenths of a second per lap. :)
@sjoey About the concrete patch, it's deceiving. I know this track very well, and the quicker way around that corner is staying on the inside of the patch. If you go in wide onto it, you compromise your entry speed and in the end is slower than if you were to stay on the inside. Trust me, I've tried everything on this track.
Especially in a racing situation, you're in a vulnerable position if you use the patch. Every single time someone has done that in front of me, I've overtaken them.
@kbmotorsport1 That's interesting. I guess it would depend on the driver, as I also know this track in and out and my best times have been when using that patch. I actually pick up more speed using it and pass people right when coming out of it because of greater speed. We most likely have different driving lines. I'd be curious to have a go at a race with you to see what 2 experienced drivers with different lines and techniques would give. Send me a private message if you would be interested.
@sjoey you might have been faster on the concrete because you were gripping there, but when you tried the inside line like in the video, you were probably sliding, because often there is not enough grip to take that line with a full throttle. It is still the line to take though trust me.
@sjoey you can also come on Friday night or Saturday afternoon to watch the race of 4 heures Pole Position at Kart-o-mania. I'll be racing on Saturday from 12pm to 4pm as well as kbmotorsport1. You'll get to see many of the fastest drivers of that place and times going down to 25 seconds and close or reaching 24 seconds by the end.
Are these new karts available at Kart-o-Mania or just a one time thing? I have a grand prix coming up there in 2 weeks and I'm curious as to what I'll be using, since the last time I was there, I was using the 6.5 HP ones.

@Peter141414 I'd still like to take a few laps around with another experienced driver to truly see.

@sjoey no this is only a test kart and don't expect to drive that kart. You'll be driving the 6.5HP karts which are equally fun ;)
