Pretty good review there. I did watch the television show as a kid and loved it. Though now, I can see it's pretty mediocre. I didn't see the movie until 10 or 11 years old, and despite the gore and some depressing moments, I really enjoyed it's gritty and dark feel, and some of the action. Though I will agree most of the characters lack development. I may consider reviewing it as one of my first movie reviews.
Nice review. To be honest I didn't think the show was that bad and I only first heard about it after watching your review. But everyone has different opinions and if the show isn't your cup of tea then it isn't. I will say that I do understand why people wouldn't really like the show after coming off something as dark and grown-up as the novel or the movie.
According to the dictionary, "does" actually ARE female rabiits [and deer, goat, and antelope]
The dictionary says that kit is a baby small furry animal (foxes, cats, ferrets, rabbits) and is ALSO the short word for "Kitten". So I'm guessing that a baby rabbit can either be called a kit or a kitten.
I tried watching this movie last night, and it was so dark it's like it comes from one of the darker animated movies by Don Bluth. Had enough bunnies and blood for one night.
the original book wasn't even cute

This (along side Felidae) perfectly proves parents that the fact that something is animated does not mean that is for kids. x-)
