hi, i was thinking of buying the same motor for a 10' jon boat i just purchased. i've heard its a great motor for the price however, i know the manufacturer claims its not intended for saltwater which is what i'll be needing it for. it appears your using yours in saltwater and it seems to work great. is it safe to used in saltwater as long as it gets a thorough cleaning afterwards?
