  • This song was introduced to Japan about the same time baseball was introduced. Talk about Japan preserving traditional American values.

  • Thank you with my whole hearth...really!

  • It kinda sounds like the song that was playing in the movie when Unit 01 was killing Unit 04

    (Evangelion 2.0)

  • @Reach3521 you mean unit 03. right?

  • . . .GREAT ! ! !

  • its so beautiful and sad..

  • PFF This is why I wanna go abroad for my senior year. FOR THIS SONG. I wanna sing it... Damn American schools. XD

  • Why cant most American Graduations have this song??? This is one of those songs that will LITERALLY make me (a guy) cry like a little girl.

  • o god T^T its all starting to come up... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!

  • じーんときます。永遠の卒業ソングですね。

  • This song is perfect. It's beautiful and sad.

I love it cause it's sad thinking about the school you had and friendship and things. Songs like this can remind you of a lot of thing when you are young.

Right now I just kind of wish that I am in Japan for graduations.

Man... Life in school especially High school sure goes by pretty fast... T.T

Hope you guys have a nice and great graduation when you graduate and congratz of course.

  • if they played this at my graduation I surely WILL cry...

I don't want to cry at my graduation...:( but it's soo beautiful...it makes me want to remember all the good times at my high school...

:( May 24th gonna suck for me...

  • The vocabulary is rather archaic, so it would be hard to use this to study Japanese.

But if you already know Japanese, the song is worth knowing...

  • it´s really a emotional song. Congratulations japanese´s students!

  • I have listened to several versions of this magnific song. This is one of the best. Thanks for the hard work of uploading.

  • :) Beautiful..

  • Hm... This song was unique.

  • this song is very beautiful, i almost cried, even though it's only the first term in gr.8 for me, still, wat a wonderful song

  • Beautiful song and excellent study material for students of Japanese.

  • Why don't our middle schools do something like this? :( it's so sad, yet it fits perfectly. I'm in 8th grade and this song makes me think that our last day of middle school will be this sad for us 8th graders. Even though we still go to high school and all, by then we'd be classified as young adults and I'll miss being a kid. It's just so sad :(

Great video, I could probably show my choir teacher this and maybe i can talk to her about singing this.

  • it's certainly better than that "pomp and circumstance" march we get beat over the head with.

  • Thank you for this awesome clip.

  • I saw this for the first time on NHK World yesterday. There was a story featuring a kindergarten teacher, and the eventual graduation ceremony and flowing tears.

I read and listen to this and it gives me chills. I teared up yesterday hearing it, too.

So the question, can I use this to learn? Well, I am at least attempting to learn Japanese now, and my teacher is myself. Although when I reach a goal, maybe I can sing this to whoever may be listenening.

    Wow. Domo arigato.

  • its just beautiful after you hear this song you think at school years and you want to cry and maybe you will cuz its true school years are so beautiful and you learn so much about life and friendship - this song made me cry cuz those words says so much -本当にありがとう for posting this vid

  • This is very inspirational!!!

  • I got really choked up watching this. I just graduated high school two months ago, so I'm still pretty emotional about it.

  • I was thinking of this song as I was graduating on Sunday.

  • I love this song! Where can I download it?

  • @princesseuphie In Japan, this song is called 仰げば尊し

  • I'm not Japanese, but I love this song ^^

  • Beautiful.....

  • Perfect. This makes my heart hurt like crazy. I hate parting. Especially school. The school years pass by so quick and you don't even realize it. So sad. Thank you.

  • It also almost made me cry...Where can I download this song?

  • This actually made me cry...thank you so much for posting this beautiful song. :)

  • There are many different parts between Japanese and Englis. But I know why, because they have distinguished ways to express things. I speak well of him, the translator worked hard anyway. but you must know what it says originally in Japanese when you learn Japanese and it's written by a bit old Japanese sentence. there are so many words which we don't use longer. :)

  • Beautiful. Really. *sniff*

  • Nice,Beauitful. I like this song. Thanks for the upload.
