I know this is old, but just a reminder to do some research and use reference of real objects to help build something conceptually. I would say Kemp Remillard is a good conceptual artist for vehicles.

The "caterpillar tracks" are for weight distribution. You you put a tank on wheels, all the weight is placed under each wheel. Ex: a 4ton tank will have 1ton of weight under a wheel, surely sinking into sand, mud, or snow, but if it has the tracks, the weight is distributed over a much larger area and tremendously reducing a direct weight-bearing area.

@Splooshiba the front wheel has the tank typical thread attached, and there are 2 the 2 axis in the back and in the middle with a rather low profile, almost like a cogwheel, I wont say it will work for sure.

But it probably might work if the weight is evenly distributed across all 3 axsis.

Also it doesn't have slanted armor, making enemy weapons more likely to penetrate instead of ricocheting off, and has no stealth or low observability characteristics such as low profile, angled armor and reduction of random protrusions.

Nice animation though. I think many of these criticisms could've been avoided if the author left the "futuristic" remark out and called the thing an LAV or something instead of a tank.
