Horse had 463 life time starts, thats ridiculous. If you throw out his 2 yr old season where he only raced 5 times he ave. 38 starts a year. Now that is an old war horse.

According to USTA was retired to the Kashes' Medina farm after the race. And he liked racing, but not training. Made 30 starts every year except at 3, 29 then.

i believe harness horses have to retire at 14...I guess the owners wanted to milk every last penny out of him before selling him to the glue factory, why else would you run a 14 year old horse twice in three days in 0 degree weather, in some cheap claimer in Ohio.

@kevink273 They do have to retire at 14. And on the fair circuit where they go for less money its not uncommon to see horses racing 5 times in 2 weeks. It doesent hurt the horses all that much to race that much. Back in the day they use to race 5 heats a day.
