  • Severely overlooked band that had quality and innovation effortlessly wrapped within their mesmeric compositions. This is a fantastic song that brings back great memories, one of those songs that gives you a tingle as it begins. Remember the video being an 'exclusive' on the Chart Show when it was on Ch 4. Think this was actually released twice as a single - autumn 87 and Jan 88. Unforgiveable that the British record-buying public didn't propel this to a deserved place inside the Top 10!

  • Love this song and the memories I associate with it. I hear it, and I'm back at McGill--I'm in my early twenties again, the future was an unwritten book and full of possibilities. Good, good memories; good, good times...............

  • I love this song. That's all.

  • The production of the vocals of this group are a genius work. His phrasing dramatizes an already excellent lyric..."...'tense-if-ied by a lack of competition..." and the constant layering of the background vocals allows them to becomes an instrument all their own. Never trite or overplayed, and adapted to each song in a unique manner. Too bad this groups effort was overlooked by the masses.

  • I just purchased the double CD set of "Remembrance Days" and "A Different Kind Of Weather", both remastered, plus the reissue of their debut album on CD from Amazon really reasonably priced. I always loved them, but had old worn out albums and tapes. I highly recommend those reissue CDs! :)

  • Thanks for posting these beautiful two vids. And thanks to the PSbookmarklet site which allowed me to watch em in better quality and to comment. I'm rekicking myself for not buying the 12" of Indian Summer the time I saw it glistening brand new on the shelf all those years ago. Thanks again guys...) peace

  • I know they did a video for their cover of "Everybody's gotta learn sometime". I remember seeing it on MTV and VH1 back when they actually played music. Does anyone have the ability to post this or know where I can find it? I'd love to see that one again.

  • This song was CRIMINALLY underrated!!! It has always been my favorite by them.

The music fits the lyrics so perfectly....and you gotta love the surf and seagull sound effects.

  • My favorite record too! Every single song is excellent! Where can I get these videos to have for my very own?! And a bio? pics?

  • Thank you so much! I've been looking for this one everywhere. So evocative.

  • absolutely perfect song! I love it and I love the Dream Academy! I have been looking for this video for years. I found the Indian Summer cd single at a flea market here in Tennessee! It was a rare promo cd with the promo sticker still on the box! Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Time for me to listen to those Dream Academy albums again. I still think they were criminally underlooked, all three of them (the albums and the people!). And the unsung jewel in the crown has to be...The Party from the debut album. I loved every song they ever did, though, and thanks to YouTube even found several I had never heard of before. Of course, they're not big enough for the remaster/reissue treatment, but we can hope...! Thanks so much for putting this up.

  • @richardhal They have released a double CD set...Try hmv,com ........ With "Rememberance Days" and "A Different Kind Of Weather" both remastered... Meanwhile tthey reissued their debut album at least once before Music Stores fell victim to Itunes, and online downloads... Best of luck!

  • Memories...Both these were songs I played over and over again. Lovely to finally see the videos...

  • beautiful..love the song 'Indian Summer' as I can so relate to it...I have most of the albums on LP but I'm so going to get the cds soon!

  • thx for posting remembrance days is a great LP

  • You can hear how sooooooooo many love this song,...I remember working in a record store at the time and getting my hands on the promo and was in another world all over again! I played the heck out of my CD's and lost them and have had a time looking to replace them. I still listen to them in my car, or laying on my bed in the dark, just relaxing. They could never be replaced, and it's a shame that newer generations will never be exposed to their sound, unless we play it around them. Thanks!! ; )

  • Fantastic!
