The only thing that could make this possibly better is if on the last shot, the beer slides past Van Cleef to a hidden Clint Eastwood further down the bar. He'd then say, "Thanks old man," and drink it as he heads out the door.
I'm sure the reason this wasn't done is because people viewing it on TV would have their heads explode due to the awesomeness of the commercial.
wonderful..you do not by any chance have a copy of a 1980 Desperado Jeans commercial that spoofs Urban Cowboy do you? I am the costar and would kill to have a copy...it ran for a year primetime...I woould be happy to send you a color xerox copy of the print poster...great shot of Lee..he was a sweet guy..we kept in toucj for years..and lost touch..thanks
I really miss him! :(
I mean, where can you find such a character?
Oh and btw, did you guys know that SNAKE in METAL GEAR SOLID was modelled according to Van Cleef's look? Kind of a trinute... Well made actually! :)

no because the ad would be very expensive

do you really believe it would be too expensive? No. I'm sure CLint just didnt want to deal with the lawsuits from head explosions.
