  • Why is PM keeping her hand on the throttle after v1? isn´t SOP to continue the take off no matter what happens?

  • Thanks @fsclips, look forward to seeing that emergency landing sometime too!

  • Why did you go around? Was there no visual at the decision height?

  • @PSPmaster321 It is part of the training to practice several go-arounds from DH. This was such a case. At the beginning they give you visuals, but later in the training you stay in cloud/fog the whole time making it a bit more difficult.

  • Great! Looks like the gear lever is rather heavy :)

  • Why after deciding not to land you immediately took the flaps up to 15°? Wouldn't you lose a lot of lift at low speed?

    Thanks!!! ^_^

  • @jonji260280 When you decide to do a go-around you have to immediatly get rid of some of the flaps as otherwise the aircraft won't climb. The first few stages of flaps will give you lots of lift and little drag, the last few stages will give you very little lift and a lot of drag. Thats why you go for flaps 15 not flaps up, that would be too dangerous. Hope this exp[lains it a bit.

  • @fsclips that's great thanks!!

    greetings from Italy ;)

  • Wow! I wish I could learn to fly a 737! I can only get to learn in a Cirrus! What airline do you fly for?

  • Wow Stefan thats amazing! I never knew how thourough the simulators are. Great to see how the MCC training works :)

  • thats cool!

  • This totally out does the Piper Seneca Simulator weve got at my collage lol

  • very nice, but who are you left or right seat?

  • I am PF on the right seat. Sorry, should have specified!

  • and you know that you killed men dreams with that info lol

  • @fsclips Example if I become cpilot can I sit in right as pilot not co-pilot

  • @HKS134 On the left is the left is the PIC. You can have two captains on one flight which means the PIC will be left as well. One sector one guy is the PF the othr the PM, then you switch. In many ways there is no such thing as a co-pilot and a pilot. you both do exactly the same, just on different sectors. It is just in certain situations when the final call lies with the PIC.

  • If I cannot join the Air Force then OAA is my second choice. How did you find the training on the simulator?

    All the best,

    Alastair

  • Very good! They will give you quite a few challenges to keep you busy but that is part of the fun :-)

  • Oh, ok.

  • With the engine fire on takeoff shouldn't the woman in the captins seat have set reverse thrust then the spoilers deploy automatically?

  • That depends on the aircraft type and series. I believe all 737NGs do that but the older models don't

  • Awesome video! I'd love a go in a FFS... xD
