A380 is a great aircraft she's a real beauty alright!
I love it!
A true engineering marvel from Europe. A380 has been built for future needs and will be used in places such as China where the population and economy grows at phenomenal rates even during a world recession.
I also love Boeing aircraft and the USA I understand is a beautiful country as its people.
The USA media and politics are another story it speaks for itself really and those that buy into it that speaks for itself also.
Your insults do not change the fact that A380 is an engineering marvel and likely to be more efficient and better than the competing 747-8I. Time will indeed tell once 747-8 finally flys.
You can actually learn alot from your attitude by the way you insult everyone else. I do not need to stoop so low as to resort to cussing and swearing at someone that I do not agree with.
I take my hat off too fachy for spelling out the facts.
He doesn't need to resort to rude language and pathetic insults like MrWillydoit and his bed mate dkorda.
There's something to be said when you can give credit where it is due because any engineer on the face of the planet can attest to the engineering marvel that A380-800 is.
747-8 is a cheap and boring replacement for the classics 747-400 series in my minds eye.Boeing did not want to invest in an all new 747 replacement as it was seen as too risky a buisness venture. I applaud Airbus once again for taking the risk and pushing the envelope in terms of innovation and design technologies. I think Airbus have pushed the avaiation 20 years into the future. Wheras, Boeing are still tinkering with a 1960s 747 design.
Well when those 747 need to replaced. Do you think airlines will choose the outdated and older 747-8 airframe that has less passenger capacity and less passenger comforts and doign all of this while using more fuel per passenger. The choice is obvious. Airlines will choose A380. Once you have flown in A380, you will never want to fly in 747 again. The next wave of A380 will be more efficent. In the future we can look to many improvements in the A380 frame.
A380 will make air tarvel much better than it is currently because a full A380 makes more money than any other airliner that is currently in service. An A380 series starts making profit at 65% full capacity.
Boeing is 10 years behind Airbus. Airlines that use 747-400 will be looking to upgrade in the new future and it seems A380 is the most popular choice. Airlines don't just want another 747 derivitive. They want a completely new airliner.
Now with the delays of 787 it seems A350will enter market 2-3 years after 787 which should make for an interesting market. A350 can also take advantage of building second making A350 with slightly better technologies than 787.
This was during the first promotional tour for Airbus. Only the wing tips, the QANTAS wording, and the engine logos were done. The promotional stuff for Qantas was done in post-production (the tail logo etc.)
Because the plane hasn't had all of it's paint job done yet. Thought that might have been pretty self explanatory, but obviously not. No matter though.
I've been on 3 flights on the Singapore Airlines A380 and I'm still here typing this response to you so I think we can assume that it's flight worthy.
The reason that the aircraft is only partly in Qantas livery is that the aircraft was in Australia on a demonstration flight and was being filmed for Qantas promotions. They can use computor gimmickry to add the Qantas logo to the tail because it is relatively flat, but not to the engines nor the fuselage. Hence the latter were painted in Qantas livery for a few days before it's next big "show."
You can sure buy models, for I have 3 of them. Air France, TAP Portugal and Singapore Airlines. It will enter service in the next 5/6 months time. Can't wait to actually enter in one of those giants of the skies!
Makes the 747 look like a pony compared!

hold on a second! the Americans are commplaining about copying. They should check their own history of passenger plane first.
Fokker F. VII=1924 FORD TRIOTOR=1926
TRIDENT=1962, Copy by U,S. 727=1963
BAC111=1963, Copy by U,S. DC9=1965
A300=1972, copy by U.S 767=1982
A330=1992, copy by U,S 777,1994
from looking at this information up you can see what I mean!!!!!
