When I was a very little kid Russia almost nuked me over Cuba,Ah that was a long time ago so why the hell does my enlighten government say I cant go? Insane. To me,my government sounds like the Communist it wanted me to hate when I was little, and from what I'm seeing China is winning.
I am a Hospice Nurse [RN] who would like to visit Cuba. Do I have to apply for a General License or do I travel there to do research and upon return present my credentials to customs with a copy of the General License guidelines?
I can travel to Cuba legally because I have a Canadian passport, but I suggest to Americans that they just go if they want, nothing will be done to them when they return. It's all bluff. No government has the right to restrict where you can travel. Case closed.
@Cubatraveler Actually if you spend any money there with a credit card or debit card, anyway that you could be caught, the government will track us down and we get a huge fine. You can also get your social security stipped or sent to jail. I know people that this has happened to it is no bluff
@13kpatrick U.S. credit and bank cards do not work and are not accepted in Cuba anyway. The only way anyone could be caught is if they actually admitted being there because the passport is not stamped in Cuba unless you request it to be. I met some Americans there last year and they were veterans of Cuba travel, having been a number of times with no troubles.
