Goodness people, she was 13/14 years old, probably hitting puberty and incredibly hormonal and emotional. That happens, heck even Drew broke down and cried on stage when she went home. No you don't always get what you want, but sometimes when your dream dies in front of you, you can't help but mourn it. It isn't necessarily that she thinks she's more deserving, but gosh she just watched her dream go crashing out the window. Diva behavior would have been to badmouth Nicole or Marcus, she didn't.
I think it was a justified choice of Nicole's to go to deadlock. After all, deadlock is for when the judges think both artists gave an equally good performance, which Rachel and Marcus definitely did. Also, Rachel's breakdown just shows everyone that she's, in fact, too young for this business, and that it's too much for her to handle. I mean, you didn't see the other (and older) contestants that got voted off break down like that.
I get that she's young and it's an emotional moment and all but I think she over reacted a little, it's a show, I know it means alot, but she has alot of talent, and all of America and the world as seen it, so the show ending isn't the end of anything for her.

@ertarox WHY was it wrong of Rachel's mother to promise Rachel that it will be okay? Her mother meant that regardless of the result, it will be okay. That is why Rachel said "you promise?". She's a kid and she acted like a kid. Within a day or so, she bounced back to her normal self. The X factor 2011 would not have been the same without her.

Marcus was very caring guys. He actually was looking after her, he came back after steve told him to get off stage. He said somthing to her like, dont worry you will become a star. Marcus was the one that actually felt bad for her. She was good, and so was marcus. And dont lie to yourself, she probably does have a bad home, you cant lie on national tv.
