Derek Jeter deserves to be AL MVP. I'm not saying Joe Mauer shouldn't be.

It's just that Jeter has played excellent, high-class baseball and his head is ALWAYS in the game. He has got a WS MVP, ALCS MVP, and All-Star Game MVP. He should win the AL MVP. in 2006 he was CHEATED and SCAMMED out of it by MORNEAU. Now he is going to get cheated out of it AGAIN by MAUER!!! 2 Twins in 3 years. Jeter is running out of time to get it at 35. Mauer, Heck he can get it every year because he is young.

Mauer wont go to the Sox. He grew up in Minny and loves it, and he's a good guy who isnt greedy over money. Why does every Sox fan think every player in the world will someday play for them? I thought that was a Yankee kind of thing to do....

Cuz we are the 2nd richest team in baseball I guess. no doubt he will atleast consider Yankees, Redsox or even Mets offers if he isn't resigned. I mean, the twins are a poor team. They're pay roll is 50-some odd mill. He'll likely get about half of 50 per year in a deal. To the twins that is a lot to give, and theyll be pressured to resign him. However, 23-25 mill a year is nothing to the mets yankees and redsox. It won't be crazy to see atleast in the 10 yr/230 mill+ range. imo hes a 2011 bosox
