Gavin when you added the photo frame. What did you click to deselect the layer? Mine still has the hash marks around it. Thanks again for all the awesome tutorials you do. Its great for a beginner like me to learn and understand Photoshop thanks to experts like you...
@TatumRoweProductions Exactly the same, unless you mean Elements 7, when you can't use layer masks, though there are various videos on YouTube showing you how to get around this.
thanks for all the tutorials on cool photoshop stuff.
heres and example of something quick i whipped up in my class and taught to some of my friends. i pointed them into the direction of you Youtube channel!
i m having trouble. when i make the rectangular selection and reshape it, it seems to cut some part from the layer. i cant seem to have a solution. please help, thanks. (by the way nice OOB effect)
Could you help me, After stroke the white line is not solid ( background picture still can see inside stroke line but burr)...they not happen before?...
When i try to apply the gradient then the error is comming that target layer is hidden as you say to do in ut turoial. If i keep it on the gradient applies to the image.
I've seen and repeated exactly what ur doing but can't figure out whats wrong. Help any1?
ok sir Gavin i finally figured it, until the WARPING you said wasnt here on PSE 9... theres a TRANSFORM but there was no WARP... so its not going to came out like yours...
hey sir Gavin, im very new to these things, and i wonder if i can do this MANUALLY in photoshop elements 9, they already have this feature in it GUIDED but it doesnt comes out as good as this... and if YES? im trying to do what you did the BACKGROUND thing and i cant figure how to do it here, you said "something tool" and cant find it... PLEASE reply, would really APPRECIATE your BIG HELP!!! thank you very much!

Hi Gavin, I would think people usually don't give away such tricks/tips for free. You are doing a great job. Your tutorials are absolute best. And I look forward to them.
Just like to say your a great teacher, i,ve learnt a lot from your videos . I was also wondering about the cheaper filters on Ebay and how good are they .

@neilonline4u Thnx for responding Neil. That is really good on ya. Im going to do that and hope I will finally understand it. The wife is upset at me for having it and not using it. Cheers.
I've tried this effect before but not using your technique, you really saved me some time and it looks even better than how i have done it in the past. great job
this video certainly is worth the price of admission. I've been waiting on this video for quite a while. I have been trying this effect with various results. I can hardly wait to try out your extremely simple techniques. Thanks.
I notice you did not get the background out the the windshield grate. Looks like it would be a real hassle, Could you put up a link to where you got the car image from, I would like to give it a shot, see if I can find an easy way to correct the background from grate, I would like the challenge.
@Eddiefry deleting the mud from the window grates, shouldn't take you more than 10 seconds with the correct eraser option set. From memory, I think it is the second option - Delete Background Color" or something similar and set the color to remove to be the same as the mud, then make sure the settings are set to ignore other colors in the way, then use a big big brush and go for it.
@ZagatoZee Thanks, I have not used that yet in photoshop, Ill give it a shot and play with it a bit. There is so much to photoshop, Loving the program.
Gavin, you never cease to amaze me! Nicely explained, not too fast, not too slow, simply brilliant! I did know how to achieve this, but nice to see such a tidy end easy-to-understand video, that'll definitely be a huge help for many others. I'm a huge fan of what you do, you probably know that by now, so keep up the good work! :)
What I meant once you have the photo frame. Was to get rid of the selection so that you don't have the hash marks any more.
