Even though it's a mid-level ride, I really like the way it sounds - it would be hard for me to justify to myself spending $300 on the ride I really want, which is the 20" A Custom Ping Ride.

Tight drumming... good videowork but try to focus on your sound quality... you allmost can't hear bass sounds...(very important to me) and again (and i quote DistinctionBand) You reaaally need to tune your toms...

I don't like to do covers of songs with profanity, and when I practiced this one and played to it, I forgot that was in there. When I spliced all the audio together, I figured I'd just cut that out so the covers could still be "family friendly." :)

I use an Evans EMAD, but it's muffled so much that really any two-ply head could sound the same. It sounds a lot better in my Evanescence cover - I'd love for you to check it out if you're interested. I didn't know as much when I made this cover as I do now, so the drums don't sound nearly as good.

Nice again man.. But that 2nd tom sounds a little out of tune or tuned too high.. It kind of spoils the song sometimes. Other than that.. Awesome :)

I think the top two toms both sound pretty bad - they're over-tightened and not EQ'ed well.

This was back when I knew a lot less about how to record the drums, so I totally agree - and I think the level on that second tom is too loud, too, which sounds odd in the mix.

A few of the hits on the quick rolls didn't sound right but maybe thats because the rest of the song isn't as loud as the drums.

Straight up, dude. Your right I didn't check out your other videos. But I still don't like the way you play this one. I guess it's just a matter of taste, ya know. I don't like your style, but your a good drummer. Yeah, you don't wanna play it lick-for-lick. That would be boring. Exept for tool n' shit like that.

Nice video. However you should try posting an easier song, cuz no offense dude, you ain't got this one. Your double bass is clean but you can't always use that to get through a tricky part. Or a crash when you're supposed to be combining the ride and hi-hat ( 2:13 - 2:20 ). Your drums sound great but it just looks like you're playin' a lil' out your league. Believe me, I can't play this song perfect either, just sayin' I know what you're missin'.

Yeah, I don't set out to play the songs exactly as they were recorded, despite calling this a "cover." I know that I didn't play that part correctly, but I never intended to - I thought a crash added more power to that part of the song, personally.

If you think this is "out of my league," I would suggest looking at my videos of "Ra" or "Dance of Eternity." I think they're infinitely harder than this song, but I think I managed to play them pretty well.
