My boss owns a Maserati GT S, and he said the car never jerks between gears unless you shift at a low rev. Also asking for an extra 100 horses is like telling your girlfriend to wipe your but for you. (easy to do, but its not necessary) I personally think this car is flawless.

I dont think they built this car to be as hardcore as a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc. To my knowledge, Maseratis were meant to have a little bit of sport & luxury. And let's face it, you cant drive a hardcore sports car every day, like you can with this. You got to know what you're getting into when you buy a car like this, just like you do when you buy any other car. It depends on your personal taste.

The cars' name is Grant TURISMO. TURISMO. This is the type of car, that - sort of - gains much of our love over the course of the time. Yes, it's not as fast and furious as Aston or Ferrari... But when travelling for few hours in one of mentioned above, you will pray for maserati. It's Gran Turismo, it's supposed to be quick and comfortable.
That is an absolutely beautiful car. But for over $100,000, I'd like to see a 0-60 in under 5 seconds. And a manual transmission. But then again, if your like most the people who do buy supercars, you don't care about performance, just sex appeal- and this car has plenty.

The hardcore performance is going to come from the Ferraris. The Maserati, on the other hand, appeals to the person who is probably less of a hardcore enthusiast and cares(like you said) less about 0-60. They'll sacrifice the performance for greater luxury.
This allows Fiat(owner of both Ferrari and Maserati) to cover all the consumer bases completely.
People say the same negatives about the R8 V8 version, but that still doesn't prevent people with money from buying them. Great looks and great engine sound for this price point how can you beat that? Every car can't be a Murcielago SV or Zonda.

its true 400bhp in a car that looks like that is just not enough.. thats like a buying a beautiful mansion that only has 3 bedrooms... it needs an extra 150bhp up to around 500-550bhp and then youve got the full package.
The reviewer keeps complaining that it needs more power, but that's not the point. He's clearly not the target consumer for this car. The GranTurismo is a cruising car with a sport mode, like the Aston Martin Vantage... not an athletic super sports car with over 600 hp. Maserati is going to be making their vehicles standard with 4.7L 433 Hp engines (currently, it has the 4.2L and the 4.7L engines to choose from). While it is very nice to have that extra power, it still commands respect as a sensational piece of craftsmanship. Each is unique, down to the stitching and the poltrona frau leather makes it a great daily driver.
400 hp and one of the finest exterior/interiors in the world. These guys are never happy with any car. No matter how a car's designers refine it, tune it, or improve it they'll still find something wrong with it.
@TheTallMan35 this is normal because it's like no one is perfect, the same idea. I think the exterior is fine but sure not the best looking car for it's price and the car is a bit slow to call super-car. Maybe the GTS is more of a super-car like.

Sorry man but its true, once you own a supercar you will feel that 400 hp is not much for such a heavy car ... it takes about 5 seconds to 100 km/h wich is a lot compared to a 911 turbo 996 doing that in 3,8 seconds ...

I have to agree with him here. The whole point of buying a luxury GT car is to have a vehicle which can transport you in extreme comfort and blow everyone away at the lights. The Granturismo handles well, looks and sounds fantastic, is extremely comfortable, but isn't as fast as you would want a sportscar to be.
the way to think of this car is not like a soft sportscar but as the most stylish way of moving 4 people about. Who gives a damn about not having more power or not being as fast as an M3?!
Aston Martin Vantage is so much better than this car. After riding in both, and my family choosing the vanatge over this, I can officially say that the Aston is in a whole different league. The Maserati is slow, jerky, and you pay to much for what you get. You practically have to spend 20k more of the GT S to get the same performance of the Aston.
But the point of this car, or even these kinds of cars is not the performance. Let's not forget too that the Aston is strictly a 2 seater while you can actually fit 4 adults in the Maserati.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Aston too, but I don't think you really shop for either of these cars just for performance. Buying these kinds of cars is an emotional thing, and personally I feel like the Maserati excites me more, even if it is slower. If I wanted performance I'd get a GT3RS

the aston martin is a car that screams "look at me". the maserati is a beautiful car that sort of blends in as a regular car seamlessly. it's not an easy job to design a car so beautiful yet which blends in well. the interior is far better than the aston martin plus it's italian, best sports cars in the world bar none. fuck the bitter english.

its true 400bhp in a car that looks like that is just not enough.. thats like a buying a beautiful mansion that only has 3 bedrooms... it needs an extra 150bhp up to around 500-550bhp and then youve got the full package.

The reviewer keeps complaining that it needs more power, but that's not the point. He's clearly not the target consumer for this car. The GranTurismo is a cruising car with a sport mode, like the Aston Martin Vantage... not an athletic super sports car with over 600 hp. If he wants a car to show off and go fast around the track all day then go buy a Ferrari.

Maserati is going to be making their vehicles standard with 4.7L 433 Hp engines (currently, it has the 4.2L and the 4.7L engines to choose from). While it is very nice to have that extra power, it still commands respect as a sensational piece of craftsmanship. Each is unique, down to the stitching and the poltrona frau leather makes it a great daily driver.

Sorry man but its true, once you own a supercar you will feel that 400 hp is not much for such a heavy car ... it takes about 5 seconds to 100 km/h wich is a lot compared to a 911 turbo 996 doing that in 3,8 seconds ...

@athriaxo Well then how much horsepower is enough for a 4100 pound car? 5 seconds is not exactly asking a lot of a driver's patience. With traffic, red lights and finding a parking space a driver in a Porsche 997 won't reach his/her destination any sooner than the driver in the Maserati GT...or perhaps even a Honda Civic! Im just saying that once you own a supercar, you will understand what i mean... i drive my 911 turbo every day and if then one day i drive a weaker car it just feels so sad ... my sisters bmw also has about 320 hp but it just feels very weak to me since i got the porsche ... if u own a bmw m5 upwards one day ull understand exactly ... its sad realy cus once u have that 3.8 second thing and ure used to it, where will u go to upgrade? :/ cant afford a bugatti yet ...

I have to agree with him here. The whole point of buying a luxury GT car is to have a vehicle which can transport you in extreme comfort and blow everyone away at the lights. The Granturismo handles well, looks and sounds fantastic, is extremely comfortable, but isn't as fast as you would want a sportscar to be.

Aston Martin Vantage is so much better than this car. After riding in both, and my family choosing the vanatge over this, I can officially say that the Aston is in a whole different league. The Maserati is slow, jerky, and you pay to much for what you get. You practically have to spend 20k more of the GT S to get the same performance of the Aston.

But the point of this car, or even these kinds of cars is not the performance. Let's not forget too that the Aston is strictly a 2 seater while you can actually fit 4 adults in the Maserati.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Aston too, but I don't think you really shop for either of these cars just for performance. Buying these kinds of cars is an emotional thing, and personally I feel like the Maserati excites me more, even if it is slower. If I wanted performance I'd get a GT3RS
