  • very well done!

  • i would love to be taught!

  • cant wait for his new video after the zombies come

  • Youtube really needs a slo-mo button to see some of these

  • You inspire me. For now I"ll train with the wooden branches I found outside.

  • Next Achilles right here

  • How many times did you cut yourself up learning to do that???

  • i liked it from around 1:21 it felt stronger, if you want to be better incorporate your whole body movement with control.......check out your foot on 1:32, technique is good. Now its all about sharpening.....

  • I live in africa and i can do most of that, is that wierd?

  • I wish to watch tutorials about freestyle katana sword (: You're amazing

  • Damn man! Why are you not an action star?

  • BRO U KICK ASS

  • Very nice, would be nice some cuting and break too ;-).

  • you sword/s.... i sure hope they're lighter than mine... because that's freakin' awesome if it is... i can barely swing this twice in a second...

  • That is epic just a question do you LARP because you would be good at it, if not look it up.

  • can you fight with vergil or sephiroth xD =?

  • Fuck dude...FUCK thats impressive

  • I have a question about your amazing video... do U get tired quickly? because when I train with the sword.. I get tired very easy and don't know how to increase my flexibility and endurance.. any suggestions?

  • THATS BEAST

  • Thats amazing ! i like your freestyle man u got a new fan!

  • Very respective your techniques are incredible and your stance is just professional,,,, it would be a treat to fight you in a sword battle

  • i like swords better than guns because 1 guns suck if they run out of ammo 2 swords take REAL skill to master while guns just aim and fire 3 swords look badass 4 i would pick swords if im up against a zombie attack

  • Fantastic ,Great,Amazing........

  • Are you gonna make any tutorials?

  • Very good performance!!!!!

  • Good job. If you want to expand your knowledge look up kalman csoka rock solid sword and Caitlin dechelle and marc cannonizado those guys will blow your mind a way

  • you teach?

  • Amazing. Hope I find some master like you someday. I love you habilities.

  • Are you the one doing it, or is this a tribute to the swordsman?

If it IS you, do you use iaito or bokken?

  • active or innactive blade ???

  • realy very good

  • 185 people got their head chopped off by TPRoach

  • Are these actually good in a real fight? They look like powerful swings... looks strong enough to chop someone's head off :3

  • Dude....I'm good with a katana but you just took it to a whole new level.

  • Even though I can do most of that your still a badass.

  • Where did you learn this?

By trying out or did you learn it in combination with martial arts or in a martial arts club??

I'm looking everywhere fpr stuff like that but I don't know where or which martial art this is (there are so many).

Could you give me some advice??

  • i hate it when people make things look so easy...

  • I miss the old music you had on this :(

  • It looks Like a Mix of styles. What were you using, what martial arts styles do you use?

  • It's an honor to subscribe master.

  • superb

  • how do u do 1:22 that is EPIC!

  • Just became a Sage in martial arts, only 17 and been doing it since I was 6, swordsmanship is my thing and I love this video bro.

  • If I were you, I'd lose the gloves, they look a little out of place. But nice stuff.

  • THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!

  • You are a skilled warrior

  • beautiful swordsmanship

  • Very nice! Fantastic work! Which Martial Arts do you practice?

  • This is really cool. You are amazingly talented. But you know, most of the flashier stuff really isn't that effective in a real sword fight. But still cool nonetheless.

  • If this is what your llike with Regular swords, I'd love to see how youd' Handle an Aara Coild Sword

  • I was listening to this...: watch?v=AqnLSKkA83Y

...while watching this vid and the line "Pure wrath of the winged assassin" played at exactly 1:38, it was fucking awesome.

  • dam u get buffer and cooler lookin over time!

  • i like the locations they are very... icant explan it

  • Your moves are so awesome! Totally inspiring!!! Keep it up

  • I loev ur Locations, r u from UK??

  • overall, i like it. (some of the editing and effects were annoying though....) still, thumbs up!

  • That was awesome.

  • Your videos are amazing! I really would like to thank you. Thanks to you I got interested in freestyle, and I think I'm doing pretty well;] But of course I should not judge myself: D So far I have only one movie. Maybe it will be more ... I do not know: P

You are really great at what you do. I'm a big fan of yours:)

  • @KazordoN1

Thanks Kazordo! liked your video man! nice shinai work :)

  • @TPRoach Are you from Sparta??? lol no joke dude,u are awesome

  • @TheLurtzzzz

haha no, but ta very much! :-)

  • Awesome ! Thanks

  • dont want to meet him in a dark alley XD

nice man how long took it to learn?

  • coooooool!

  • this just destoryed all my confidence that i had skill with a sword

  • Good Video.

  • Hello, Impressive Moves very skilled, May i ask how to do you practice in your way? :)

  • That's how I shave each morning. But I am so a man I have beard after hour 1.

  • damn, you must've hit yourself in the head hundreds of times while trying this crazy shit. btw are those real practical katana's or laido (blunt) ones? cause if those were real katana's you should prolly be missing an ear or so *_* and apart from that you're swirling them really fast. anyway props for the vid ! thumbs up!

  • Whoa man!! Have you ever tried making a tutorial video to shwo others how to do those crazy sword-twirls with those katanas? I'm a very low-experienced staff-fighter myself who needs much more training, but seeing this video has given me much more enthusiasm to keep training as hard as I can ^^

  • i like the 3rd trikc

  • James how'd u get out of silent hill 2 o_0

  • i wish people would make holograms that would fight for fun with swords ... really need a friend to fight with and those i have are street freaks that go do trouble in cities ... they have never seen my skills with a sword

  • its fun to watch cause his like a street swords men ... who dance for money

  • all of my instincts and training tell me to use this as a weapon

  • nice, nice tproach

  • I see that you have practiced much, young padawan. Very fast, very flashy. But, all simple, easy things. However... You and I both know that twirling the sword like that makes for a lost weapon in combat, if someone hits it while you are twirling it. I do see that you have a pretty solid base though. Keep practicing and innovating. :)

  • man teach me the ways

  • Hahaha xD You Amaze me xD

  • Yea this is definitely an awesome video, dude! Very smooth and fluid with the way you use the swords. I know some moves are for katas only, but just looking at the way you do use the swords, I can tell you know how to use one practically as well. Also, as someone else asked, did you learn this somewhere or on your own?

I have been using Bo for the past 2 years (Tae Kwon Do style) and recently been practicing with my Bokken lately. So I'm curious if this was self taught. ^_^

  • OK..im not sure if you still read comments left or not but as a request or maybe a suggestion to "spice up your videos (not like they need much though) would be maybe to have some of those bambo posts wraped with that woven hay or whatever it is and after each trick just find a way to cut it in half...also, how long did it take you to learn this?

  • I think their skills could've made a good movie or game...^^

  • realy nice work what kinda training you do or are you self taught

  • beautiful...just beautiful

  • nice handling :)

  • i hope this dude wont take the wrong way cause if he do he'll be unstoppable no doubt bout it i thought i was watching Reiden killing enemies in Metal Gear lol

  • good effort and great ability as other ppl have sed, but very far away from practical/traditional japanese swordsmanship (altho you state freestyle swordsmans in the title), keep practicing, good to see kicks in there to... i guess this is rly a modern non-combative development for the sword these days very much like how the nunchaku developed into a showy weapon, so far away from its traditional okinawan roots. One question tho~ why the chinese style bow at the beginning of this vid?

  • how do u do 1:22? XD looks so COOL

  • i think this guy could defeat chuck norris

  • @Jaii13Corp maybe..lol

  • i felt like i was watching myself for most of that. Impressive work with the duals. Ive been practicing swordwork most of my life and i cant handle duals near that well.

  • It's so nice to see someone on youtube that has really something to offer.

Your skills are fenomenal. I have seen many sword tricking, or any weapon freestyle and I know what is it like to hold a sword, I'm a historical fencer. In category of sword freestyle YOU are the best for me.

People like you deserve to be famous, I wish you good luck.

  • my dream is to be experienced in handling swords like this, man you are awesome and i think that its fantastic and i wish i could learn it!

  • I love this freestyle but in actual combat.you'd be more likely cut yourself or your comrads. But I aint a hater.Your more skilled in this aspect of a blade than I am.Some of this though could be useful with my Iado battoujuitsu style. Sweet video and moves

  • when did you start cus im fifteen and have been training with stiks and bokkens for five years now

  • Thanks again Roach. This has been my favorite swordmanship video since you put it out. I come back to it time and time again for inspiration. I miss the days when it had Hysteria as the music though.

  • owsome vid, great moves and great work at the vid, can you tell me the song name please ? :D

  • Niiiice... All u need now are a whole arsenal of guns and crowds of mutant zombies and u'll literally be in L4D2.

  • completely amazing, as far as im concerned your swordsman ship goes unmatched

  • wow now i want to learn

  • Normally I don't have much regard for this kind of showmanship. Flourishes do not a swordsman make. But after watching this, I don't much care. This has merit for its own sake. Keep up the great work, Roach!

  • man you should totally be in a movie !

  • @RE4boyo thats what i said!

  • question how many time have you cracked yourself in the head?

  • impressive reflexes

  • That's great and i like this music so much, you are much better than others over youtube ! :)

  • i doubt anyone wants to fight you xD

  • nice vid bro, i love the art of the Katana

  • I'm a Swordsman my self and i must say you've inspired me to do alot better than i have so thank you for the inspiration

  • people with tricks like these should be a super hero and an epic suit!

  • I love how you combined various forms of martial arts and really made it your own. instead of focusing on absolute discipline or finding the "ultimate martial art" as has become so incredibly trite, you take it in your own direction and just have fun with it, turning it into almost like a dance, which in the end makes it just as much an art as if you were the new Musashi. Way to go!

  • I like this i wish i could learn it, too bad i dont have a katana.

  • best skills ever man ... im trying to get as good as you but i dont seem to have the skills like you ... great job!

  • Awesome...very inspiring.....NIce.....

  • dude it's perfect! but how to do that effect 0:38-0:43??

  • I Really want to learn using katana or even boken but don't know where to start btw the video is AMASING

  • how can i learn this kind of stuff i really want to train something like this btw the video is amasing !

  • what style did you train in?i'm trying to get into martial arts but am yet to find my style.

  • salut jaime bien

  • your weapon sheating at 3:55 is perfect, epic.. now all you need is the saya;P

  • Hey good to see your videos back on youtube!

  • al mas puro estilo de bastonera de ucla muy bueno

  • absolutely beautiful. Please do a video dedicated to the bo staff. Ideally one that is the same height as you

  • Welcome back!

  • youre great

  • i want to learn the ways of using a double sword it sounds cheesey but can someone msg me some tips on how to use it this sounds dumb but i got a sword today thats why im asking

  • Nice moves TPRoach! I see many things I have practiced and many I will have to try. Great production of sword work, it was entertaining, as well as informative. Keep up the good works, we will keep watching.

  • @illyounotme thank you

  • 2 questions/1statement

    who is this....and

when can i have a match with him lol?

    5stars

  • Hey realy awesome!!! which programm did you use? and how calls the effect at 0:40?

  • you have one of the best doppel sword styls i ve seen

  • i want to be just like you : ] lol

  • 1:22 is the best one

  • You should play basketball. lol

  • pretty good, just got to speed up his combos, and body movement and he gots it

  • vary nice skill this kind of thing is more based on form and technique more than effectiveness in a fight correct me if im wrong. although i did see some moves that would be vary effective. lol

  • 2:43 to 2:52... Coolest thing ever. :) :)

  • isent bow staff awsome

  • Ahhh. AWESOME dude I need to whatch it over and over =) Just lovely =)

  • nice! I've started to venture into some of the sword styles. Though, you could say I'm "free-style" learning. I don't have time or money to go to a class. Do youuse any specific style? Anyway, I would say more, but I gotta run. Great Job!!!!!

  • Amazing..your videos are very inspiring

  • it's so beautiful....... inspiring......

  • @XxKitsuneHeartxX thanks Kitsune

  • @TPRoach It is amazing to see someone who still does things like that, I enjoyed watching your vid mate, I have to tell you that you've gotta keep it up, Did you do this all on your own or was it by practesing Martial Arts ?

  • @XxKitsuneHeartxX agreed :)

  • wow, that level of skill and speed with your swords is really amazing..

  • Looks great! Framerate could have been better, though :) Otherwise it's quite impressive.

  • I did this in my backyard and nosy neighbor call police.

    It suck.

    Love,

    Ivekt.

  • dang this is insane..im a swordsman myself and this has to be the the craziest swordsman i have ever seen...nice job

  • @necronlord123 thanks man

  • respect for learning to efficiently use dual daito :D (daito is the longer sword in the pair a.k.a katana shorter being shoto a.k.a wakizashi in case you don't know :P) but your leg sweep -> tornado kick seems to lack strenght... other than that your form seems solid =)

oh.. and as somebody mentioned throwing your katana to the ground is disrespectful to the way of the samurai because to the samurai the swords were their soul

  • @makkolatso - thanks makkolatso but yeah people dont need to comment anymore on the swords going into the ground. I covered it in the past. I've studied far now into the soul and spirit of the samurai, but the videos always match the state of my mind at each time of filming and i was VERY impetuous in my youth. Apologise to any i've offended but it only matched the distaste of my own soul at the time. thanks

  • @makkolatso That's odd..because he doesn't look like a samurai to me.

  • respect man you are perfect ! keep it up and maybe you will play in a movie xD

  • how long to learn with katana? and with staff?

what is the weight and the height of katana and staff?

if i start with katana should it be dangerous?

thx a lot man u re great!

  • To all Sword Dancers and Students.....it's never about how long it takes to get good at any skill or style. It's about the perseverance and discipline to keep practicing to reach the goal you set. Not to mention a certain level of enjoyment. lol-----To Roach....well done. I notice you tossed in some XMA tricks. Keep it up!

  • Beautiful. Omg.

  • wax on wax off ....Danielson !!!!!

  • nice vid only colplain is ,.... the traditional sword of the samurai mirrors the soul of an worrior ,...so it shows kind of a disrespect when u stick it tro the ground ,......i know nobody but u whos doing that ( and kostner in braveheart and even than i feel disapointed )

so pleas dont stick ja sword into the ground ,..... just think obout the zombies and what would u do with an unsharp sword ( ,...useless.....)

    peace

  • that looks dangerous

    but really awesome

  • good cuting at this video

  • Nice...i like also the video effect (the clowing one) you made on 0:39. What video editing software did you use for that?

  • help, my mom is running out of broom sticks

  • venez faire un tour sur bokuto one 's channel !!! that's really cooooool !!! ; ))

  • how much to learn that at all?

  • how did you learn this? you're very good by the way.

  • Flawless, how many years since you perfected your technique?

  • you're moves are perfect, i actually got goose bumps and its my 5th time watching the vid after a few months lol, you did an amazing job, i freestyle with a bokken and what you do is definetly NOT easy, i look up to you =D - chris

  • wow now thats a master wicked hes better than my master lol hahah so cool
